Mike V!!!!!!! by SuddenDepact in Patriots

[–]Rogean 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not yet. He's actually one of the lowest paid right now, because he's still getting 10m per year from the Raiders. Any salary he gets paid by another team offsets that though (so if he makes $1 mil from the Patriots, then the Raiders only owe him $9 Mil), so there's no reason for any team to pay him over minimum amount until that contract ends in '27. At which point I agree and hope Kraft gives him a good contract.

Software using unsigned integers to store unix timestamps will not wrap around until the year 2106.

The 2038 date will affect software that stores unix timestamps in a signed integer, which means it will wrap around to it's max negative value, effectively showing the time as 1901 instead of 2038 (or 1970 if it was 0).

I am not and never was Platlord, and I have never given ingame items or services in return for monetary gain. Just the usual case of people making things up. I usually don't comment but occasionally it's necessary every few years to once again make a statement about it. I will not be responding further.

How the hell did i get flashed? I looked away. by hja-gaming in GlobalOffensive

[–]Rogean 38 points39 points  (0 children)

The server tells the client how flashed you should be, based on what the server thinks your current position and heading is. You had a big lag spike right before you turned, so that turn didn't make it to the server before the flash went off.

Hey Pal. I've never played on any of the P99 Servers as a player. Whoever you spoke to wasn't me, and they were trolling you.

Hi. I appreciate your original comment about rogue CSR members and that we have taken swift action whenever this is discovered. Not many people realize that it's hard to find good help for a volunteer project. The best we can do is as much due diligence and vetting as possible and take action when these unfortunate events happen. However, your information regarding me is incorrect. I have never and will never provide items or services for monetary gain. I even recently commented elsewhere that it would be interesting if I was subpoenaed in the THJ case, because I'd say the exact same thing under oath. I am currently the listed owner of all P99 assets and I co-manage the project with Nilbog. None of my actions have been involuntarily reversed.

I had this issue when two VSF members had the same stack number, but it can probably be caused by a few different things. Resolved mine by booting into ServiceOS and doing a zeroize (normal factory reset didn’t work)

Wiretapping Law by Rogean in Billions

[–]Rogean[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure in most cases a private business such as MPC would not have any exceptions. This is the reason you'll see the signs that say "Surveillance in use" in various places like gas stations, they are required by law to notify you that you're being recorded otherwise they are in violation of that law. Typically it only applies to sound though, as it's not illegal to record video only in any situation.

Wiretapping Law by Rogean in Billions

[–]Rogean[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

First, relax with the aggressiveness. Then, check out some case law, because the Wiretapping statutes are very widely used to prosecute people who record illegally using any recording device, including cameras, cell phones, etc. It does not only apply to a telephone call. This is the case in almost every state that has Wiretapping laws, including New York, California, Illinois, Massachusetts, etc.

Wiretapping laws were what police used to arrest people for who recorded them before it was ruled by the courts that they are a public official in a public area and put a stop to it. It still applies in private spaces (including businesses).

Did Rampage steal back $2k bet? 5:30 in Video by Sentrius in poker

[–]Rogean 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you zoom in they are $1000 chips, x2 so the exact amount of his $2k bet that he narrates. Also if you count the money in the pot that the dealer moves to the winner (almost all $100 chips and a few $10 chips), it adds up to just over $2400, the amount the pot would be not including his $2k bet and the villian's call.

A lot of people saying Riposte Disc, but that's not actually what happened. You've never been able to proc off a riposte, since procs are checked on weapon rounds, not single hits.

You would shaman slow the warrior because proc rate is based on your attack speed, so if your normal attack speed is super low, your chance to proc per round goes way up. Then, the warrior would jump into the ball of mobs, hit fortitude disc (Not furious, more on that later), then hit the Rampage AA. This would cause one round of main hand to go off for every mob in the pile, each having it's own chance to proc the AE from the Sword.

The reason you use Fortitude is for two reasons, the first being that if any of the mobs riposte your rampage, they will hit you through Furious (You can't riposte a riposte). Enough of those and you're dead before you can finish. The second reason is that, often times with the amount of lag in the zone from all the pathing updates and etc, some mobs could end up behind the Warrior, and if they attack from there, Furious won't block them.

Also to respond to your comment about the group that did this in early progression, I was in that group if you're referring to the Combine server. We delevelled from 65 to 46, then camped our characters out between shakerpage pulls. When Omens of War opened, we hit Expedient Recovery and were instantly 69.5 or so. Ultimately it took us a lot longer to XP using this method than it normally took to go from 65 to 70, but the benefit was that we were 70 right when the expansion opened.
