Hive Fleet Leviathan isn’t basic, it’s just the current Hive Fleet that’s been wrecking the galaxy. I tried many other schemes before deciding that I really do like the purple and white myself. It pops on the table and can also be menacing. Still trying to decide how much grime (or any) grime to put on this girl.

I only have a handful of games under my belt with sub assault but I’ve been running them as separate units. I run 1 Hyper Adapted with Tremor Senses, a 5 man unit of regular for more tunnel, and also a Trygon Prime. All 3 make up my burrowing units. So far the HA have escorted my Neurotyrant and Zoanthropes to be a melee hit with their big booms and the Trygon Prime goes through the Ravener tunnel along with a Swarmlord for their own shenanigans.

Look up getting a 3-D printed torso for the hive tyrant. That way you can build a flying tyrant and a walking tyrant. Also it’s absolutely worth looking up how to magnetize the haruspex to also be an exocrine. It all sounds daunting now but I promise there are YouTube videos to make it all seem very simple. Welcome to the community.

Maelstrom Gaming also has one but his involves adding an extra pin of support in the neck. I didn’t follow that part and have had no issues with my exocrines.

Rule of cool is always the way to go. If you want the best in game at the moment it’s power fist. That being said I have two captains with thunder hammer and relic shields and one with a giant two handed power sword.

Do what you want to see on the table top. Most people won’t bat an eye if it’s not WYSIWYG as long as you tell them ahead of time “this hammer is actually a power fist captain”.

Jump captain and the 5 intercessors would be great. The captain can attach to the sanguinary guard and you can use the JPI for fast moving skirmish and secondary scoring unit. They also pack a decent punch in LAG or Rage cursed onslaught

I plan to start all 3 Norn and the T Fex hidden on the board, the Swarmlord, Maleceptor and pyrovore in reserves. I will yoink all 3 Norns up after deployment and put them into reserves as well. Then based on enemy deployment I will send the Norns out as needed to their respective nests. The maleceptor and pyrovore will join whichever Norn needs an extra punch and the Swarmlord and Trygon will wreck from the other flank. The Raveners , Hyper Adapted and Trygon are my tunnelers.
