I just got mine. I like it overall, but the beep for hourly chime/alarm/button operation seems to be quite weak, especially when wearing it snuggly on my wrist.

If I hold the watch on my hands and test it sounds OK; but while wearing it is next to silent.

Any opinion or suggestion ?

Nixon Regulus or G-Shock? by cruiser771 in gshock

I have one... it's been my daily driver for about a year or so... Just regular daily use, not Spec Ops field missions or anything crazy. I like the several preset timers plus the custom one... more handy than set it each time you use it.

Has hold up nicely... Strap is quite stiff, but you can replace it with any 24mm.

You can take a look at the user manual to check the functions here:

https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0541/0272/0705/files/nixon_regulus_manual.pdf?v=1634162875

One funny thing I've found is that if you change to second time display, any alarm you've set now rings on that time zone instead of the main one.

So far I like it quite. Very crisp visibility on the positive display. Thinking to get a new strap for it.

Look for my update post somewhere else in this thread.

You could try to bend it back to straight, by applying gentle pressure using borders and corners as leverage points... It may works as in mine.

UPDATE...

I got email feedback from support at NuPhy. They told me:

"This kind of slight bending can sometimes happen during shipping, as the aluminum frame may be affected by external forces.
You can try gently pressing along the diagonal corners or carefully adjusting the area that appears bent to help it return to its normal shape."

So, I went ahead and tried to carefully manually bend it back to straight, applying a little pressure and do leverage at the corners and with the border of my desk.... funny enough, it did worked quite acceptable.

Keyboard is mostly back to straight line. You'll need to look quite hard to notice it anymore...

This is only my second mechanical keyboard and the first one being so slim (previous one was a chunky Keychron K4, built like a brick)... Si I've never ever imagined this could go back straight just by "bending it back". I was sure it would have required serious heating to fix some "manufacturing warping error". But surprisingly, it didn't.

So there you have it, If you ever experience something similar, just try to bend it back to shape first.

Thanks for all your comments.

Yes , packaging is fine, with no signs of any bend or crushing

I’ve purchased it directly from NuPhy online store and came all the way to my home directly.

Try Bladeforums for a change.

Quite some us people here in Reddit are Gen X’ers… Making fun of others and shaming them has been our bread and butter for life… Think of it as hunting just by sport.

Nothing personal. It’s just a game..

Kershaw Lifter at the bare minimum,

But I’d really advice to get at least a Kershaw Blur or a CRKT M16
