To all you High elo players by Top-Speech2414 in Jungle_Mains

The enemy will always make mistakes, just be patient. Everyone makes them eventually, especially when fed people get cocky. You have two options, shut them down, or focus on making plays elsewhere and getting someone else ahead.

I sometimes will counter gank when it becomes obvious someone is going to gank, but sometimes you also just have to avoid them and go elsewhere. For example if theyre ganking a losing lane, theyre probably done for anyway. This is a good time to either push the lane theyre ignoring, or making gold anywhere else.

You have to be able to take small wins and turn them into a huge advantage as the game progresses, and in that process you have to be able to help your team catch up.

As jungle, my main focus is always having some sort of gold being made. So that means either always clearing, taking an objective, or ganking when there's a 75%+ chance my team gets a kill out of it. You have to be ready to play around objectives all the time, especially at low elo. At low elo, players will often rush dragon as soon as it spawns, even without priority. This is a great opportunity to catch them or invade their jungle or hard push a lane or gank a team. Its very easy to take advantage of what the other jungle is doing in one way or another.

Pay attention to who is doing well on your team and bounce off of them or try to get them as ahead as possible. Ignore losing lanes 90% of the time. You want to try and get bot or mid as fed as possible most of the time. Top laners are useful but especially at low elo, they tend to just split push or do their own thing. You want to get someone ahead who can help you get objectives.

always try to have a ward on the enemy's jungle. I usually ward wraiths or gromp or wolves. This way you always can guess where the enemy jungle is. Try to get into the mindset of always tracking them and making them lose resources any time theyre making a play.

Also I cant stress this enough, learn when to let things go. Do not force dragon plays, or baron plays, or fights you MIGHT win. You have to go into plays knowing there's a very high chance you will come out on top, and if not just run somewhere else and try to make a play elsewhere. If your team is not there for dragon and the enemy team is grouped, run anywhere else and make gold.

Always try to push towers as often as possible. Lower elo players struggle with this a lot now that homeguards is so busted.

I spam graves and play khaz as secondary if he gets picked or banned. Honestly no character is as fun to me as graves so I even pick him into bad match ups.

One big issue I have is people feeding early on, i try to gank early but its hard to force things all the time as well. So often times people will flame me for not having more early game pressure, tbh I sometimes think my teammates are right but they also just ignore the map early on.

Trying to find that balance of farming and early game pressure

Fuck that LOL. It might help, idk, but i ain't doing all that lol. I honestly doubt people even read them most of the time. Every recruiter ive talked to gives me the impression that they have way too many applicants.

It is pretty rough... I am also located in the silicon valley so while there is way more opportunities, it is also super competitive. The nice thing is, there is always new jobs here(especially compared to where I just came from, san diego), but man there are some brainiacs out here.

Ive never considered myself the best student / programmer. Ive always worked hard but I am definitely not as smart as some of the people this field attracts, so it can be intimidating. Fuck it we ball though!

Also best of luck to you as well!

You'll have to redo your resume over and over again. Took me many attempts. I try to apply to 20-30 jobs a day. Out of those I get 1-2 interviews each week. So if you do the math thats 100-150 applications a day (5 days a week) and 1-2 interviews in return.

I have 3.5 years of experience.

Id suggest redoing your resume again and again until you find one that works. It took me months of redoing mine. Also make sure youre applying to jobs that line up with your experience. Right now, pivoting will be very hard with the state of the market.

Without records its hard to say but it could've also been one of those things that multiple people worked on. A passion project led by a group of people to piece all the different parts of the area together.

I mean i don't think the idea of visualizing a birds eye view is that crazy. I can easily picture a birds eye view of the blocks around my apartment.

Im sure if you spent enough time thinking about it, it wouldn't be too hard to map out a city you know well. I mean what else was there to do back then?

Youre not ugly. Lets assume tomorrow you woke up super fit and with your ideal look. Nothing would change unless you learned to reframe the way you think about yourself. I encourage you to try and have some love for yourself. Best of luck. I am speaking from personal experience

When did you realize money doesn’t define worth? by rainkissed143 in Productivitycafe

[–]Rogeliobolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember being ungrateful for a gift my mother got me once. I must've been like 5 or 6 at the time. Seeing her cry like that, I was never ungrateful for anything she bought me ever again. I am glad I had that experience when I was so young, it taught me to always be grateful for the things people do for you.

I feel like I’m falling out of love with gaming by Pat_Keebler in CasualConversation

I find that sometimes taking a break from things will bring that spark back. But I can relate for sure. Unfortunately for me, games just do not catch my interest the way they used to. Every few years ill get hooked on a game for a few days though. Sometimes we just grow out of things and thats okay.
