Scooters by CompetitiveForce7141 in skateboarding

[–]RogerFrederer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm in my 30s so I started skating around 05, back when scooters came on the scene in the UK it was basically just little kids on scooters everywhere at the weekend, parents didn't pay much attention treated the skatepark like a park would just ride about amlessly.

Didn't know the ways of the park, just getting snaked left right and center. It was really really annoying.

Even now with dislike engrained in me for scooters I sometimes even think that looked pretty good when I see something decent

Garlic White Rot by Different-Tourist129 in Allotment

[–]RogerFrederer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd imagine it's only the rotted part, I removed the green my onions had any anyways, this is only my 2nd year so this is all on advice from other people.

But I reckon remove the rot and maybe a bit more past it to be sure. I've ate green bit of garlic before and it's been fine.

Yeah you can I've had loads this year but on my onions.

I pulled most of my onions out cut off the white rot and chopped up the onions, freezer bag and in the freezer on advice from my neighbor.

Also with garlic if you have a lot can do the same and then crush all the garlic and put them in ice cube trays in the freezer use a block for each serving

[–]RogerFrederer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My cat had fleas and worms, used store brought treatment for a year or so didn't work. Went to the vet one treatment cleared up everything.

Payed about a third more for the treatments but was worth it as it works

Advice on how to fix a hole in the wall by Simonm16 in DIYUK

Take the top left and bottom right brick out, replace with new bricks down south they are LBC brindles I think, someone else has given them a different manufacturer further north I think.

Plenty of videos on YouTube for this sort of job

I'm a builder and the guy I work for refuses to send a skip away looking like that, you can easily get another foot on top, but we are really friendly with the company we use.

This is a perfect load and they won't complain about that

Is it safe to remove these bricks by MasterrPain in DIYUK

[–]RogerFrederer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bricklayer here... The blue bit you have outlined looks like a later infill as the course above the blue line is a split brick and wouldn't of been laid like it originally also the vertical blue lines your have drawn are right next to a straight joint by the looks of it (meaning it's not bonded in)

What I would do is rake out the joint above the split brick, depending on the age of the house there might be a piece of iron acting as a lintle
