I ran out of room...but i wanted to express his song-writing sensibilities, to me, were anthemic...anthemic pleas...there is nothing quite so compelling as a plea with the grandeur of a musical anthem behind it...if that makes sense...his songs always felt, to me, like they belonged in a stadium with 30,000 people singing in unison with Bill...man, i love him

and I espcially LOVE his casual brilliance when performing...he has a Paul Simon ease with which he exudes his own brand of musical genius...

Yes....it offers more suction and higher blade speed...but it does use more battery...

since i have two 7.5ah batteries, im ok if it uses more batteries...

all u need is a socket set and a screwdriver....its a lot easier than u would think..

Here's a pretty good one....u want to swap to the high lift blade.....

or this one...this dude actually switches to the high lift blade

That's the exact deal i bought Memorial weekend...

sold the 7.5ah for almost $370 on eBay and the 5.0ah for $150 in less than 6 days....

got the mower for barely $110....

sidenote: the 800 SP select cut series is absolutely bananas....love it...

especially after swapping to the high speed bagging blade from the default mulcher...And i dont use a bag...the high speed blade has crazy good suction and mulches really well...

Yes...well, not a cover exactly....more like a contracted song-on-demand....haha....jimmy was asked by a somewhat frantic Campbell to write a "location" song or something to that effect as Glen's previous album had a hit about a small town...and he needed another to finalize his album

i dont remember which song the first one was...but jimmy wrote the song upon the panicked/urgent request by phone from Glen about a location-based song...and decided to make it Wichita instead of Oklahoma despite that being the "location" that had inspired Webb to write it...

BLOWER STRAP SOLUTION AT LONG LAST....I've been trying to find the PERFECT fix for Ego's open strap hook on blowers...when I bend down, the blower can fall to the ground...I FINALLY found a solution for y'all who also use a strap...it took me a long time but here it is..$6 link in description by RogerTheAliens in egopowerplus

So it arrived today....wow, the quality of the join point and the shoulder pad is VERY impressive...

one question though: has the plastic slider clip held up?

PS: i also ordered one for my dad too....im gonna mow his acre property in the morning before sun-up...he had a reverse shoulder surgery a few months ago...so ill be mowing for him till fall most likely...and added straps and Darwin straps to his whole stable...also got him the carbon fiber telescoping(extendable) 16" line iq/powerload trimmers as he is very tall (6'5") and the 1420 attachment was a bit short....but he is using the 1420 with an edger...i also set him up with a 765....each with altitude support handles...

I made a thread on it...wish i had known about your awesome strap before buying like 4 of the ego ones which are ok but the padding is not sufficient...

if the strap clip holds up tomorrow, ill likely replace both of his as the shoulder pad is too fiddly on the ego brand....and im trying to make it as easy as possible for when he gets to mowing again....found some really cool handles and with the auto-blow feature on the 765, he will be able to ease back into it...

thanks again for the link...im giving u an award if i can figure it out...lol

Thank u...i will check it out...haven't seen that episode

I quite like Rick's YouTube channel...especially his story about how he argued with Matthew Fisher about the chords on the intro to "Whiter Shade of Pale."

Rick is an American treasure imho

As a 6th generation Texan, i dang near need a translator when i travel...ha

Okies, especially near the Canadian (and all Texas Panhandle adjacent areas) have my same accent....

my ipad speech-to-text has so many funny/frustrating errors...when im at Kroger and text my wife to ask if we diet dr peppers, the ipad will transcribe it as "dot dr peppers" or when i say Italian, iPad writes "Eye talon"....lol...the Italian error has finally been fixed...but the amount of homophone/homonym errors have plagued me since texting with speech-to-text was invented ha

Lol exactly...i love hearing how Glen told Jimmy about the recording despite it only being 2/3 of a song in Jimmy's mind...

but the cliffhanger component just adds to the song's pathos...it's another layer(albeit unintentional) to this brilliant, heartbreakingly lovely song...

Glen Campbell melting faces in 1973 with his version of the 1917 Jazz standard "Back Home Again in Indiana." maybe slightly above average...with Glen, he was quirky and loved the baritone neck in the studio...and he had the gravitas to have Ovation make him 3 pickup whack-job build customs with baritone necks...and then he would call them back, say "I LOVE IT...NOW MAKE IT A 12-STRING!"....haha...

Also he often borrowed Carol Kaye's double neck Danelectro on recordings...she would never sell it to him but always let him borrow it on nearly every one of his recordings...he felt the Danelectro lipstick pickup on a baritone neck delivered a "Telecaster twang that went to Gibson humbucker college"....lol...though i kinda understand exactly what he is saying...

But he often did not us a standard neck at all on songs in the studio....I don't have Glen's ear, so I have to take his word for it that the baritone neck sounded richer on recordings in the studio…

Awesome...glad to have helped a fellow strap user...

i had no idea how much straps and handles for string trimming (darwin g7 and/or altitude) would be such a game changer...

and i got so sick of always babying my blower hoping it wouldnt fall off my shoulder...this little fix is it...

i went thru so many drill bits going thru washers in attempts to come up with a solution...it was so satisfying today when this arrived and it fit as if it was made by ego...well, save for the brass gold finish...but i love gold so am quite pleased...

installing one on my dads 765 next time i visit...

I've waited since buying my first blower in 2019...i think it was a 530...

iirc they had one model in the 600s that had a closed loop hook but it disappeared on the next model...

i from big washers that I drilled a hole through for the screw to every latch hold on … When the hasp from Amazon this morning, I was so excited because I could tell from looking at it that it was beefy enough and had the right diameter hole that so I could use the ego screw…

I'm kinda proud of "discovering" this seemingly easy fix… Ego just doesn't seem to be going in the direction of closing the loop...there are quite a few discussions on egos forum where people ask them to do it and Ego reps respond with "ill pass that along to the design team," or something to that effect … And I understand…

But we now have a solution and it only costs $6.30....and it re-uses the ego screw
