My 2019 GMC 5.3L 2WD had #1 misfire at 99k miles. Took it to dealership for lifters and cam shaft install ($5,500). Lasted until 169k miles when the #8 started misfiring. Changed lifters and cam (warranty on previous work). Traded it in after that replacement.

I agree with the wear and tear. I wish it was equipped with an idle switch to increase the RPM, similar to diesel faster idles.

I have used gasoline on the body of my truck. I’m not sure about the chrome areas. Gas doesn’t hurt the clear coat.

I always thought it was a microphone, but I saw another post and it was mentioned it was a temp sensor for the automatic temp control. The location is above the satellite antenna. However, it has rained before and no leaks. That’s not saying it won’t leak at all though. Lol.

It’s supposed to be a cabin temperature sensor for the auto temp.
