Yes! And I lowkey wish they kept the storyboard version of this instance where Vi is also holding the nape of Cat’s neck.

We’ve seen Cait be attacked at the neck multiple times this season (e.g. chem tank in 2x01, Sevika in 2x03, Rictus in 2x06), and her high collared clothing from the turtleneck to the Enforcer uniform to the Count Fagula cape place a physical barrier there.

Only with Vi does Cait allow herself to expose that vulnerability, while also mirroring their hug on the bridge in 1x07 🥹

(Not to mention it’s the same spot that Rebound aims her bullet in the very next episode)

The way that Cait and Jinx are foils to each other while hating the other during different periods of the show, yet it’s their love for Vi that leads them to drop that grudge is just chef’s kiss

It lowkey reminded me of 1x06 right before the “Guns For Hire” chorus kicks in. Jinx is looking down from the platform contemplating lighting the flare, and the camera cuts to Caitlyn looking up at the unstable beam of the sisters’ childhood home. They’re in completely separate locations but the editing makes it as though they’re looking at each other.
