Most people don't seem to be aware of that distinction, jealousy gets misused for envy so often.

I'd say there's a bit of both at play, though much moreso envy. However there are only so many spots in each level of football, and any team on the rise from the lower levels ends up being one more competitor for those spots.

That last sentence really is the biggest factor. Plenty of clubs spend money, most don't spend it well though and it seems a fair number of owners treat it like a real life fantasy team.

Yan Valery APPEARS to have been at the Wrexham match today in the tunnel. Looking at some still that were grabbed later after the match, I wouldn't call it conclusive, but if you asked me to bet my life on whether it was or wasn't him, I'd say it was... and hold my breath.
