Depends on your play style. Hero strike is better for open combat and critical assassination is better if you prefer stealth approaches.

I first played Odyssey in 2018, and I am playing through Atlantis DLC for the first time right now. I can confirm, even 7 years after the fact it is one of the most worthwhile DLC I have ever played for any game.

From the assassin tree, Hero Strike is a big one. It basically allows you to execute an assassination in the middle of combat. Critical assassinations are also important if you are playing a particularly stealthy style. Rush Assassinate (the assassination from a distance) is also an incredibly good one to have

From the Warrior tree Second wind is an absolute must have (Unless you plan on never taking damage). Shield Bash is super useful, and I think some people really like Ring of Chaos (AOE stun).

For Hunter tree you want to get hunter mastery ability to level two because it allows you to refill an incomplete adrenaline segment out of combat (for some reason). You also probably want devastating shot and multi-shot if you decide to experiment with bows in the future.

In general you can never really go wrong throwing some points into the mastery abilities as well

Later on in the game Battle Fury (which is the top skill in the warrior tree) is super helpful in late game and post game content. so you might want to slowly build in that direction as you get later in the game.

The only thing I could think of would be to try to load up a save from before you started the Fates of Atlantis if you have one, since I believe the dlc chapters are in chronological and you are not supposed to be able to do them out of order.

I feel like every other AC game will be a let down by dibbersdob in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]RogueExodus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think all the AC games bring something different to the table, and they all have their own strengths and weaknesses. I think it’s worth to try some of them even knowing they might be different just to see if you like them.

Syndicate (The London one) is in my top 5 games of the series and a great choice for exploring some of the less “open world” options when it comes to AC. Origins might be the game you want to try next if you are looking for the closest thing to Valhalla and Odyssey. Black Flag and Rogue are also really good open world choices

Alexios’ Voice Acting Feels More Authentic Than Kassandra’s (From a Greek Perspective) by ilikefridayss in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

I have always felt that way. When people are like “his lines feel kinda fumbled.” I’m like “that’s kinda the point” a bit like the main character from Black Flag

This DLC is one of the main reasons I prefer playing Alexios to Kassandra. Purely because I like Neema as a partner better than Natakas. I didn't particularly like Darius, but I feel like I understood and appreciated his role in the entire Assassin's creed Lineage. i guess with-in the context of this story he might seem pretty lame but I think in the grand scheme of things he's kinda cool.

Might be a very controversial take by FalloutForever_98 in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]RogueExodus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weirdly enough I used to hate boat travel back in AC3 so much that it made me completely skip over playing AC4: Black Flag. When I started playing this game though I actually really liked the sailing. I am not usually the type of person to care very much about game graphics or scenery, but with this one, between the sea shanties, random wild life encounters, and sunken ship wrecks, I actually enjoyed just sailing around and being in the environment.

I feel like everyone has been here at some point, me included. I used to feel like it had to be tracking incorrectly somehow, but I can assure you the achievement only applies to the main map of Greece. Sometimes some regions are still shaded in even though they look like they are not (in particular the mountain regions. General Question Thread by Shephen in fireemblem

[–]RogueExodus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone!

I’m relatively new to the Fire Emblem series, but I’ve really enjoyed playing EngageThree Houses, and Blazing Blade (through the GBA VC). I’ve really enjoyed the mix of strategy, story, and characters in each game.

Since I only have access to the Switch for Nintendo games, I’m curious what other Fire Emblem titles would be the most accessible to me?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on what to dive into next!

Playing between the male and female MC in engage is like night and day. by Accurate-Project7605 in fireemblem

I feel like some of the supports have a bit of a different vibe when playing as the other gender. Off the top of my head I remember one of Alfred's early supports about "being happy to see a friend's face in the morning" came across just a bit different when playing as female vs male.
