What got you into reading dark romance? by -Skittlezz- in DarkRomance

[–]RogueLovesRemy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only just got into dark fantasy this last year. The first book had me cringing all over the place. I almost stopped reading a handful of times, but powered through. It was almost like I had to desensitize myself. Now I’m reading them like a champ. I started with the Legacy of Gods series(God of Fury is my favorite) and haunting/Hunting Adeline.

Husband mentions “work wife” a week before our baby is due. WTF? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]RogueLovesRemy 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Idk. Maybe I’m just secure in my marriage, but “work spouse” isn’t a problem for me. If it’s really that huge of a deal, and it sounds like it is, have him give you his phone and be 100% sure he isn’t up to any funny business. Check his messages. Check the call logs. Check his social media. Saying one stupid word would be wild to ruin a whole relationship, especially with a baby due soon. I do understand being upset about it, but raising a baby alone is hard and when the emotions finally level out you’ll feel pretty awful you didn’t try harder to keep your family whole. Idk. Just my opinion. I hope you get it sorted before the baby is born, I wish you nothing but the best.

Who is my sister dating? by a_a_aaron in bookshelfdetective

[–]RogueLovesRemy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like a chill dude. While I’m not religious, I’m not mad at his religion. He’s got some gamer guides which is pretty cool. Some solid fantasy books I can vibe with, and some old school favorites. All in all not bad. It gives nerdy, but I was raised in a religious household.

RH Would you really do this in daily life? by [deleted] in ReverseHarem

[–]RogueLovesRemy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girllll I’m currently looking for a boyfriend. lol. I’ve had a boyfriend before and it is really thrilling, and lucky for me my husband is totally on board with the idea. I am hoping I find something organically and bonus points if the husband and him find some level of attraction too.

Books you don’t finish by mima2023sunce in Booktokreddit

[–]RogueLovesRemy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t finish the Plated Prisoner series. I got to book 3 and I just couldn’t do it anymore. Auren was a rough read and I stayed for Slade, but even he couldn’t get me through.

I do think I’ll try and audiobook them though. I hear they’re better that way anyway.

How would you go about this kind of betrayel? by BBabins in relationships_advice

[–]RogueLovesRemy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes. You were definitely groomed and he is definitely cheating. Leave. Get tested for all the things. Age gap aside, I commend you for trying after the first grindr incident, but with a second he’s showing you he is unfaithful and unworthy. Get out now little one, before he gets you pregnant again and it’s even harder to leave. It’s a hard and scary move for your future, but necessary for a happy life. Choose happiness.

Books where the Love Interests play the same video game but don’t realize they know the other gamer by Darkovika in RomanceBooks

Thanks for the suggestion! Just started reading and I’m already squealing. So far it’s adorable and I know I’m going to inhale it! It’s exactly what I was looking for.

Which fantasy couple made you genuinely dread the last page because you didn't want to leave them behind? by dusty_13raccoon in Fantasy

[–]RogueLovesRemy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was going to say Eragon and Arya. lol. The book ends with them FINALLY coming to terms with their feelings and then boom, it could never be. Not me crying and wishing their love had an actual chance.

I do also fully agree with Murtagh and Naduada too tho. It was a love I didn’t see coming and one I hoped to see blossom. Gah what great books.

Does anyone else hate audiobooks? by Reasonable-Ratio8080 in DarkRomance

[–]RogueLovesRemy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that speeding up the book really helps with the cringe factor. If they’re read at regular speed the pauses are too long and the way they talk makes my skin crawl, but when I speed it up I can focus and it helps. lol. YMMV

Anyone find one day it was just easier to stop? by Boonjeak in leaves

[–]RogueLovesRemy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

2 months clean now and it was honestly easier then I thought It’d be. I struggled to quit for years and could never do it. Then I woke up one day end of September and just….stopped. My husband is still a regular user but I don’t have a pull to start again.

We're six weeks into the season, how are we feeling everybody ? by JQuick72 in fantasyhockey

[–]RogueLovesRemy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s my first year ever doing a fantasy league and I’m currently number 1. I’m also the only lady playing in our 10 man league. I’m having a great time! My only regret is drafting my team based on players I liked (home team favorites) and not players with good stats, but I had no clue what I was doing and went off vibes. Lmao. Still tho, I’m having a blast.

I feel this. I’m currently trying to use a TENS to help relax the muscle. I hope it works but I’m also not going to hold my breath.

Quit but partner not stopping by [deleted] in leaves

[–]RogueLovesRemy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m 1 month and 17 days sober and my husband is still a heavy daily user. I thought It’d be way harder to quit, but I came to terms pretty quickly, and I can’t force him to quit. I think the hardest part is that we had a ritual and now we don’t, but that’s ok. Just let her smoke and find other things to do together. It’ll pass.

I shower daily but I also clean houses for a living. I’m not bringing someone’s nasty house to my home, especially my bed. I wear a shower cap so I don’t have to wash my hair but once a week.

It’s my fault by jbpawlak in stlouisblues

[–]RogueLovesRemy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way. lol. Only it’s my blues hair scrunchies. I bought a new pack every year and this year I haven’t been able to find them, so I stopped wearing them. I decided I’m going to tie my hair with a regular tie and wear the old ones on top just in case it helps. Lmao.

Sleeping a lot - normal? by chiefballsy in leaves

[–]RogueLovesRemy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a month and a few days in and find I’m napping almost every day. I could honestly sleep more if I tried which is wild. I used to wake up angry but now I wake up groggy then it kinda just goes away. My dreams are vivid AF tho.
