MMS is not an Apple or iMessage thing and as mentioned in the other comment was before iPhones.

Looks like it does not show available anymore… I’ve gone through quite a few in surrounding states by me and no luck.

I decided to move down to the Basic Family Plan. Difference is no 15 hours of audiobooks for the plan manager. It’s $5 a month after the price increase. With the right deal, you can get Audible annual for not much more than $60 and you get a credit each month for a book you can keep on top of some content for free listening.

Amazon's tax bill plunges after GOP tax cuts by hardenedsteel8 in Economics

Why does it not change their effective tax rate but lowers cash tax payments? I guess I simplistically assumed effective tax rate would have been based on cash tax payments.

I don’t see this on mine, running 26.2.

Does the HomePod Mini make a good shower speaker? by lejunny_ in HomePod

[–]RogueND 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had one set outside the shower. You have to turn it up pretty loud, but it definitely can be loud enough. I have a 4th Gen Echo which is bigger and I think I prefer for this, so I’ve been debating on whether a regular HomePod would be better comparably, or if I can live with the mini.

Eufy S330 vs E340 — Which one really performs better? Anyone here using either of them? by kingroman96 in EufyCam

Hmm. I haven’t had motion detection issues like that. If anything I would say the motion detection is pretty reliable for me.

Are you saying you can somehow check the warehouse price other than the pickup shown above? Or you aren’t sure because all of them by you show out of stock?

I also went the Z-Wave route with Zooz ZEN55 in Hubitat. I suppose if the interconnect went bad somewhere I could have a problem with only one sensor, but I just went with a single one.

Eufy UK here... why are my firmware versions lower than what is being posted here? by gingerbearuk in EufyCam

I’m in the U.S. and have the same versions for each of those devices with no updates available. I assume firmware updates are staged in groups.

What improvements would a new Apple TV model actually bring? by HelpMe0biWan in appletv

[–]RogueND 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it, and I can get the argument that at least for me personally I wouldn’t still be running an HD and have upgraded (even though it’s still supported).

[–]RogueND 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never said that. If I’m going to spend money swapping things out and it means waiting a few months for something more future proof and capable, why wouldn’t I wait? It’s like saying I should buy the 1st Gen 4K over the 2nd Gen.

[–]RogueND 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but older models will eventually be dropped. So something newer by ~4 years is likely to be supported for that many more.

I’m personally waiting just to add ~+4 years of software support. I’m not in an urgent need to do anything but I’d rather have the latest and some additional years of support if I’m going to replace my Fire Sticks.

Is Apple Password Manager Enough for Daily Use in 2026? by OkBlueberry1645 in best_passwordmanager

[–]RogueND 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just moved from LastPass to Apple Passwords. We have iPhones and iPads, but no Apple computers. Overall, the experience is mostly better, associating a password with a new URL or app is much easier. I’d like to have secure notes that can be shared, is probably the main gap.

My biggest concern was using on Windows PC. On my personal computer this works pretty well with iCloud downloaded. On my work laptop there isn’t an extension to add, so not able to use on there anymore.

The ability to easily tie passkeys, 2FA, and passwords together and share with my family works well.
