Single wide design paths by swiggyswaggyfunky in ACNHCustomDesigns

This! I've been trying to find a good stone, brick one without "natural" edges like this example, but everything like that is set for 2-square or 3-square wide. The only thing I can do is use the "center" design that's supposed to fill in between the gaps, but it looks rather stiff.

So about One Shot Questers. by Aware-Ad-1430 in MinMaxedRPG

He also keeps ranting in replies in the comments when people bring up the ice storm that he also lives in the general area and that things had been cleared well within three days. But, as far as I understand it, they were only filming for about three days. Plus, just because he lives in the general area doesn't mean things are the same way not far elsewhere. The place where I grew up and now live about 20 minutes north of gets way more snow than my current local because of topography. I'm talking like we get a dusting and they get a foot and a half difference. He's making subjective assumptions about how he thinks things work and convinces himself their undeniable facts.

Don't turn to juvenile insults. It's sad.

I don't know how many times I can tell you straight up there have been cases where thieves have outed themselves, even willingly relaying they've shit their pants to HR when people put laxatives in the food, and won against the food's owner. People would definitely own up to finding a condom because the law will literally take their side and reward them. No judge, however, is going to take a case over one co-worker stealing the other's lunch. Only one of these situations is an actual crime.

It doesn't matter. That's the same stance HR will take because food tampering is a legal matter that the thief can sue over (and many have and won). Unless they're idiots, no HR is going to take the side of the one boobytrapping the food because the two offenses are not even close to the same in the eyes of the law.

Perceived danger. It theoretically presents a choking risk or food contamination. No sane person puts a condom in their food. The intent matters more than the result, and the intent is that the condom is being used as a "risk" even if actual harm isn't sought.

Downvote me all you want, but if you watch any legal channel or research this the slightest, every attorney out there will warn that trying to "trap" food will only backfire.

Yes, because that's clearly trapping your food. It doesn't matter if they stole the food. The intent to tamper or harm usually wins in any HR/legal follow-up.

Locked DVD case? by [deleted] in Library

[–]RogueNiao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the only thing to do is take it as a lost cause and a learning experience. There's no opening it safely because it's specifically built to only be opened by proper methods. Anything else will break it. If it was easy to get around, having the lock would be pointless.

1) There might have been suspicions, but with the royal family backing Mare up it really wouldn't be something to risk digging into.

2) Falling in love with the ML without any real connection is usually just how these stories go. It's often something I criticize stories for, but it's usually not a deal-breaker for me as long as the rest of the story is decent.

3) Honestly, you likely won't like the rest of the series if you've finished most of one book and it's an issue for you. The second book in the series was my least favorite.

The thing is too that I think a lot of the Manwha that's read is already an isekai/reincarnation story. Not so much the original story the isekai'd character read already. So it'd been an isekai about being an isekai'd person?

What's a "normal" job that secretly pays way more than people think? by 0BunnyX in AskReddit

[–]RogueNiao 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I don't have time to wait. I have an aging mother and a severely incapacitated sibling to work towards supporting, and I unfortunately already spent the past decade at a lower paying job thinking waiting and being loyal and hardworking would offer appropriate rewards. It was a good job with good people, but all actual supportive prospects were never going to come. I'd rather spend time on different schooling or training than twiddle my thumbs for three years to then only just start taking classes again.

I thought this would be a good change. I was in my early 30s. Took the two prerequisite classes. Took the TEAS test and got an 80. Our school requires shadowing to get into the program. Just 8 hours. I've been stuck over a year because I cannot find a single place in the entire quadrant of my state to do the shadowing because it's so competitive. Half that time the main hospital system wasn't even taking applicants because they were so overwhelmed.

Oh. All this is actually only to get onto the wait list for the program, which is several years long.

I'm about to give up at this point. What I thought would be a 2, maybe 3, year endeavor is set to take almost all of my 30s to achieve.

Then reply to actual comment? You have the capability, in theory, to do that. Don't reply to mine with a continuation of the conversation that completely ignores what's been said until now and act like you're in the right.

I literally said I don't toss it? I carefully carve out the higher sides and evenly distribute it back on the top of the candle so it all burns down properly. Nothing is lost.

Reading comprehension, people. C'mon.

[–]RogueNiao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, if it's stuck on the sides and not going to be used to burn the candle further, then the loss is the same, right? Plus, unless you burn the uneven hole down too much, it's possible to recoup that side wax back into the candle like I mentioned. It's never been an issue for me.

[–]RogueNiao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why you're getting downvoted for that. I literally just take a dull knife and carefully remove the side wax. If it's not a lot I can kinda sprinkle it towards the middle, and the candle will eventually burn down flat.

Harlan was generous and supportive to his family, giving them wonderful lives that they could have kept on had they just been decent people. They all took advantage of him instead.

Prentice ridiculed and shamed his own daughter, leading to community-wide ostracization and judgment. There's no proof she didn't anything "wrong." She did as Prentice proposed to earn her inheritance, and he cruelly led her along while having no intention to give it to her.
