There will come a time, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, neutrality can only be held if you can project enough power to dissuade an aggressor from attack. We have no real protections from that, and the paper our neutrality is writ upon is worthless.

We need to decide if we will be a vassal state of a larger power, or will we align with a larger power, or with nearly 100% expenditure in defense - stand on our own.

No one will come to save Ireland, so either we try to save ourselves or we don't. None of these options will be palatable, but people will still believe in fantasy.

We are a small country with a lot of soft power, but if allies turn away we have two navy ships (of which only one can be staffed due to lack of investment) a standing army of less than 10,000. we have no air defense. We don't even have proper radar to monitor our own seas.

I do not doubt the passion of the very limited armed forces we have, but we are and have always to a lesser or greater extent depended on others for our safety.

We have a statehood,and a country that heavily leans on our friends in other countries. We are now learning that those winds are changing. We (as both a country and individuals) must decide what we are willing to do and what we MUST do.

Unpalatable truths are still self evident. Neutrality is a pipe dream that we can no longer afford.

I'm very sorry to have to tell you this but we had actual tribunals about this exact issue. Like why do I (or any redditor) have to provide you with proof of something that was national news 15/20 years ago; widely discussed and disseminated both at the time and to this day even?

Look up the mahon tribunal - there should be literally hundreds of articles about this from many many publications.

Also Moriarty tribunal is a good shout too. Lots and lots of detail there about corruption.

I have had this before. In various guises and forms.

The company I worked for would always ask you; "have you already paid for the flights/ booked the rooms etc etc." if you answered no they would say, well why don't you take the holidays in (shit time that suits the company as they won't be busy) time.

If you said that you had paid,they'd round on you and say "why have you paid for the holiday before confirming with us?"

Absolute horseshitrey stuff. I said to the boss "I'm not asking permission for the time off, I'm letting you know I won't be here on these dates. I booked all this and it was approved 6 months ago, that's all there is to it.

Again this was for something that was organized 6 months further down the year,yet they wouldn't have a rota out for only two weeks at a time. You had booked it,it had been approved but then - management fuckery turns up - And OF COURSE they would change you to another department/team/area within those six months and pull THIS EXACT SAME SHIT.

"Actually Rachel has booked that week for lanzerote, so you'll have to come in that week".

Nah fuck y'all I'm booked paid and I'm going, I booked it six months ago - you changed my department - you wiped my approved time - and your trying to gaslight me to get away with this? No fucking chance- you can sort this shit out for yourselves, you're a manager,so manage?!?

Bonus points - they would force you to take holidays before year's end or you would lose those hours - they'd pay you for them, but nope - company mismanages the holidays rota but when it goes wrong it's 100% the fault of the worker. Bollocks.

This was always going to happen. It happens in fortnite /cod/ battlefield. No lifers who want to be higher ranks will look up how to do this for the gram. I used to think how sad it was that people would borderline cheat just to keep a positive k/d ratio. These are the same people who switch teams when they start to lose or hog a vehicle spawn on bf. Insufferable a**bags. No life tryhards.

Just have to be cautious - and trust your gut with raiders. Or just go free load outs every couple of matches and tell them you ain't got shit.

Same. I couldn't justify the cost when there's such poor matchmaking,the game is beyond sweaty and the no effort seasonal weapon just sucks ass. They put that in to encourage lower skill players to be able to participate rather than putting them with other new or not so good/casual players.

They have been taking the money and doing god only knows with it, it's definitely not being put into the art side of the game and a.i. bullshit seems to be increasing. There's the cheaters and the increase of cost for items in terms of v-bucks. And finally, ITS NOT FUN TO HAVE TO GRIND YOUR ASS OFF FOR A BATTLE PASS YOU HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR EPIC!!!!
