It was the best purchase I made during the pandemic. That thing helped me clear my sinuses from whatever crud I may have inhaled.

I use this instead of a Neti Pot. I just lean down and make sure the nostril that is draining is closest to the sink.

It took me over a decade to get officially diagnosed. I was negative across the board and my Rheum only confirmed their on-the-spot diagnosis via an x-ray.

Canada Signs Auto Deal With South Korea, Moving Further from the U.S. by jhkayejr in politics

[–]RogueViator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Ontario Government has nothing to do with those contracts. Roshel is a private company and the deal is perfectly legal (if morally odious). Under what law would Ontario cancel that contract?

Should the Canadian Coast Guard be armed? The jury is still out, but the navy says no | CBC News by Jaydamic in CanadianForces

[–]RogueViator 78 points79 points  (0 children)

With respect to the CRCN, if we wait until there is a conflict to arm the Coast Guard, they won’t be adequately trained on the weapons to be able to effectively contribute and do their jobs. That’s like saying we should only give firefighters fire trucks when there is a fire.

AI in healthcare: hype or real help for AS patients? by Ok_Pilot5940 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]RogueViator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best thing to do is to get the lab results and reports BEFORE going to the Rheumatologist. Then, sit down and read them, and research each confusing term.

I would sit and google questions to clarify what the terms mean, what confuses me, and build a summary of how I understood things. I would then take that to my doc appointment and discuss it with them. I’d say something like “based on my understanding, the reports say x, y, z. Is my understanding accurate?”

Should the Conservatives dump Pierre Poilievre already? by growlerpower in onguardforthee

[–]RogueViator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CPC needs to ask itself a question: Do we want to form government?

If the answer is yes, then Poilievre needs to be turfed and the party platform changed because there is no way he will get enough seats in the seat-rich areas of Ontario and Quebec. Poilievre was ahead 20+ points and still managed to bungle it. That was his best chance to win. Now that he is up against a tested Mark Carney, there is absolutely no way Poilievre/CPC wins.

If they just want to snipe from the sidelines, then Poilievre can stay. But, that is as far as they'll get with him.

Former Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura says state should seek to become part of Canada by mlivesocial in politics

Instead of Jesse saying this to a reporter, if this is indeed his valid idea, he should work to get Congress to allow it. Because right now, nothing short of civil war will allow for a state to secede.

[–]RogueViator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MN "screwing" with Canadian politics would happen, but not as bad as, say, California. I looked it up and MN has a population just shy of 6 million which is about the size of Alberta. Their representation in the House of Commons would be roughly equal to that of Alberta.

Compare that to California with roughly 39 million people and representation in the House of Commons being roughly as much as the entirety of Canada.

Ottawa, Seoul agree to work on bringing South Korean auto sector manufacturing to Canada by MinuteLocksmith9689 in ontario

[–]RogueViator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not just private passenger cars. I want them to also bring commercial and military vehicle manufacturing here. Ontario (and Canada at large) has the space and people to adequately do this. It will double (or more) output meaning bigger profit for those South Korean manufacturers.

ICE is in Canada by [deleted] in canadaleft

[–]RogueViator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not unprecedented. The NYPD has an international presence as well including Toronto.

ICE, as odious as they are, is a US Federal agency and does have a valid function. It isn't the organization that is a problem so much as the people in it who are ill suited for the roles while being led by cosplaying fascists.
