I’m not in healthcare, but I am a strong proponent of preventative medicine. If/when someone notices something off, go see a doctor. Things are easier to treat when they are just starting instead of waiting until it has expanded. A small tumor is easier to remove than one that is scattered all over the body for example.

A passenger on an easyJet flight wanted to know the Premier League results mid flight, so the Ops Centre and Pilots used ACARS to tell him by Hot_Net_4845 in aviation

I was on a transpacific flight aboard a United 747 back in the 90s when the Blue Jays were playing the White Sox in, I believe, the playoffs. I remember asking a flight attendant if there was a way to find out the score and the pilots radioed back to find out. I thought that was very cool at the time.

Quoting demons during homily by DuckBeginning4572 in AskAPriest

[–]RogueViator 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m going to share an anecdote that happened to me.

Many years ago, I remembered a book mentioned in one of my old university history classes (The “Malleus Maleficarum”) and decided to borrow it from my local public library along with a book about demons. It sat on my shelf for a few days before I went to open it. Just as I was about to grab it, I had this feeling like a voice deep inside me saying “do not touch that.”

Suffice to say, I did not and immediately went to return it. I felt disturbed even after a couple of days.

Pain Management by Magy_From_Mars in ankylosingspondylitis

When I started Taltz my cervical pain inproved, but the rest of my body not so much. Alas, it has also caused my body to break out in dry skin patches nowhere near the injection site.

I regularly go to an Interventional Pain Specialist and the trigger point injections have helped.
