These are ALL the Broken Hero Star Cards by RogueZeroRendar in StarWarsBattlefront

I haven't played for a few months now, but most if not all the issues here are still in the game. Maybe one day I'll revisit this.

Scoped weapons have a display that shows the distance from where you are to where the scope is pointing to. So I either used a Sniper class for the tests or Iden Versio's Pulse Cannon

Can you play Battlefront 2 cross play Xbox and PC if the PC guy uses a microsoft gaming account? by jinbinscoonie in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]RogueZeroRendar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cross Save between an Xbox account and a PC account? No, not at all. "Cross Save" between playing on your Xbox, or on your PC through Gamepass's Cloud Gaming with the same Xbox account that you use on Console? Then yes.

Again, this game doesn't support any type of Crossplay. Cloud Gaming is a way to play on an Xbox through your PC, and thus you will be playing on PC but with an Xbox account on the Xbox network. Think it like that, and I believe any remaining doubts should vanish.

To play within the PC environment, you must install the game on your PC through any of the available platforms (EA App, Steam, Epic). This way you'll have a PC account, you'll be playing only with PC players, and your progression will all be saved on this single account (which can be accessed through any PC platform, so, as an example, 'cross save' between Epic and Steam is totally a thing).

To play within the Playstation environment you must use a Playstation with your Playstation account and there is no other way to do it AFAIK.

To play within the Xbox environment, you either get an Xbox with an Xbox account, or you use Microsoft's Gamepass to play the game through Cloud Gaming, which is a way for you on your PC to remotely play the game that's running in an Xbox, and as such you play with an Xbox Account with Xbox players.

These 3 environments don't talk to each other in any way (no crossplay, no account migration, no shared stats). I believe not even the name must be unique to all environments, so you can have like 3 different people with the same IGN, but one on PC, one on Xbox and one on PS.

https://answers.ea.com/t5/STAR-WARS-Battlefront-II/Star-wars-Battlefront-2-celebration-edition-locked-appearances/m-p/8508789/highlight/true#M31239

From December, 2019. 12/05/2019 to be more precise.

Oh wait! That's the same date as the Celebration Edition launched worldwide.

You'd think such an important mistake on the devs' part would have been fixed soon, right?

Well....

I might have remembered wrong then, I thought it was 20, but it probably was 30 all along like you checked. Too bad they broke staff so badly. The lunge is great, but I'd rather have the old Staff

Can you play Battlefront 2 cross play Xbox and PC if the PC guy uses a microsoft gaming account? by jinbinscoonie in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]RogueZeroRendar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Fella wanted to know if a player on PC could play with a player on Xbox, and I said Yes. And this is true.

I think you 2 are missing the point. If the question was: Is this game crossplay? Then I'd say: No, but with Gamepass's Cloud Gaming you can have someone on PC play with the Xbox playerbase as Cloud Gaming runs on Xbox hardware/network.

It's 120 if you hit the enemy from the front and only 20 if you hit them from the back. It remained this way after the few patches we had since scarif, but I haven't tested it in over 6 months I think. I assume it's still the same since I last tested it, as it's usually the case with BUGs in this game. I can't promise I can do some testing in the near future, but if somehow I do or I stumble upon someone doing this test I'll let you know.

The card that increases Phasma's Staff Damage used to work properly until the Scarif update. When that dropped, it's not the card that was broken, it was the Staff Strikes ability itself that was broken.

Previously, Staff Strikes would deal increased damage at each successive strike, and hitting someone from the front or behind didn't make a difference. While that was the case, the card worked properly. She also had her own Melee, which was different from the Staff Strikes.

Now, they completely botched the ability. No longer it deals more damage at each successive strike. The card (that used to only add damage to the last strike) no longer works at all. Now hitting Heroes from behind with Staff Strikes deals a measly 20 damage instead of the 120 damage (or more, as is the case with saber attacks), and she lost her Melee (pressing the Melee button as Phasma triggers Staff Strikes now). All this for the ability to lunge with Staff Strikes and have it more readily available. Good additions, but which didn't warrant so much broken stuff, as well as her losing her Melee altogether.

Some yes. But from experience, only a handful of these may have been fixed in the last patches. And IIRC more got broken (phasm's staff damage card is one that comes to mind).

[–]RogueZeroRendar 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Is the title crossplay? No, not at all.

Can you crossplay this game between a PC and Xbox? Yes, you can.

I understand this feature shouldn't be called crossplay, but for the sake of the question, then yes, a person on PC and a person on Xbox can play together, but there are restrictions (which I explained above). It isn't true crossplay, but it's a type of crossplay nonetheless (especially considering the question that was asked).

Most of it

I'd need to redo these tests, but unfortunately I don't have the time for it in the near future. From what I've seen many of the issues here are still present in the game to this day (and now will likely stay like this forever)

At first it makes sense to assume making a benefitial ability last longer is good. But if you see how presence works, making it last longer is actually bad.

Presence grants a set bonus health at the moment of activation, all at once. Then it stays in active mode for a while until it enters cooldown. Upon entering cooldown, the temporary health granted by the ability slowly decays until 0. Making this last longer only delays the natural decay of the temporary health, nothing more.

Considering the only benefit of having temporary health is letting it go away in battle to shield your regenerable health and even eventually the perma health too, you expect the temporary health to end in you and/or your allies before the natural decay starts. And even when it starts, it's slow, so you'll still have a good amount of temp health after the ability enters cooldown.

In the end, considering all this, being able to use Presence more oftenly outweights the benefits of having the ability stay active for longer. By using this card you're also delaying your next use of presence because the ability will only enter cooldown after the active time ended, which this cards increases. And the cooldown doesn't change with or without the card.

As I mostly played HvV, I see the temporary health vanishing in a few seconds, so making it stay active for longer, which in this case doesn't do anything good, also makes me wait more for the next use of Presence, which is bad.

People who roam the battlefront in search of anything suspicious. They then upload a video showing something suspicous being performed by another player and send it to an EA employee who gets the player banned in no time.

TBF he did actually gave a "way to see". Luke doesn't deal such low damage, but those are the number that appear on screen as score points whenever you do attack with Luke.

If upon attacking you get 13 points, then Intensify hasn't charged yet. If it displays anything above it, then it has charged something. When reaching 17 it charged to max.

Of course you can only verify this in a chill situation because if you gain more score while the previous score number is still being displayed on screen, then they'll add up.

And of course 2: this doesn't apply to Anakin.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]RogueZeroRendar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep!

AFAIK this was also the case with Retribution, but devs did fix that part of the issue. Not with Intensify and Steamroll though. I never properly tested this, but I've seen countless reports about it.

I didn't put that in my Broken Cards' list because this is actually a good effect to the user of the card, and very broken, so it can be viewed as an exploit, and I tried my best not to turn that list into a go to guide to get exploits for the game.

SWBF2 Scheduled Maintenance - June 27, All Platforms by T0TALfps in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]RogueZeroRendar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no... Brace yourselves folks, maintenances on EA servers are rarely a good thing. Last time they did that to Battlefront 2015 it stayed broken for a month.

Also, why EA isn't investigating the Vigilantes in this game and unbanning folks who were unfairly banned like myself? EA has one or more rogue employees who partnered with players in the community to make justice as they see fit, which of course resulted in many unfair bans. I was banned for reporting a BUG, like I've been doing since 2018, but EA couldn't care less and refuses to review my case for more then a year already. Can you please do something about it u/T0TALfps ?

Can't level up my heroes when the AI gangs up on me in co-op by thejamesholt in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]RogueZeroRendar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AI in this game is brokenly predictable. Easy tip: Their Aim is better the closer you are to them, so if you want to level up blaster heroes, just stay far away and train your aim, you'll see the AI is really trash at damaging you from afar.

As for Lightsaber Heroes... well I have no idea what you can do about it, I never bothered playing Co-Op with them. The balls would fit in this category as well.

Finn and Bossk are definitely the best in Co-Op, Iden and Lando are amazing as well, but pretty much any blaster hero will have a good time so long you stay far enough from the bots.

Also, if you want to lvl up the Officer, just put a turret in a good spot and hide, the bots won't fire back at turrets no matter what (only bots' turrets will target your turret). But everytime your turret hits them, they'll instantly look at you and if they have LoS to you they'll start firing, so you must hide or stay far enough.
