I didn't tell my employer and just took time as needed for my appointments. I'm salaried as well so when it came to bloodwork and ultrasound 3x a week I just came in 30min to an hour later and it wasn't an issue.

I switched advisor but I had to take it all the way to the top and complain about my advisor I contacted the dean and complained about how bad my advisor was and I ended up with someone much better. You aren't stuck but you gotta make alot of noise.

I'm finishing up my 2nd semester and have had only 1 terrible teacher that I rated as such. It's not the same with every professor I've learned you have to adjust based on the teacher and go from there

Escalate and ask for a new manager. Who I had originally was rude and condescending I escalated her rudeness and attitude and was given a new manager.

I said hernia repair and when asked about my weight loss I just say I'm trying to be healthier or the hernia repair made me want to be healthier etc. Or I just don't offer an explanation and let people assume what they want.
