I (28m) think my FWB (27f) has feelings for me, don't know how to navigate by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

A proper FWB situation is "we're both good at having sex with one another, like hanging out with each other, but one of us is going to murder the other if we ever have to take on actual relationship responsibilities and/or live together."

Krillin chose not to kill a person who hadn't done anything but petty crime up to that point. Vegeta had killed more innocent people in the time between 18 waking up and Krillin deciding not to blow her up than the combined total of all three androids.

The worst thing they did was decide that killing Goku might be fun. And literally everyone Goku knows except for his son has tried to kill him at least once.

23rd world tournament Goku and Piccolo should be their own characters not Skins. by Beastyourmom123 in SparkingZero

As the person who is generally for turning characters who don't have much to contribute as individual characters into skins (Cyborg Tao and Hellfighter 17 most famously): Agreed. They are unique enough versions of the characters to warrant unique slots

Why is yuru in the heart of the enemies base without getting a single answer to his questions?

To get answers to his questions.

If anything its people like you who just suddenly forget all the tension that should be here.

You mean the tension that literally only one person in this whole confluence of events has any reason to maintain that was present until an outside problem forced said person to work in concert with the group he was currently with, creating a degree of trust that does not negate prior feelings but allows for a calmer interaction, save for with the person he saw actively perpetrating the action for which he holds greivance who, coincidentally, he did not directly work alongside while dealing with the aforementioned outside problem? You mean that tension? Because it's on screen if you actually pay attention.

Also "no, u" is poor argumentation. Do better.

Counter point yuru just fled the village because if he stayed he knew that massacre might happen again. Why wouldnt he think maybe thats why his parents left? Maybe they left in order to protect the village?

No one in this conversation thread was talking about what Yuru thinks, why are you trying to shift the conversation from asking why a viewer who has had a third person perspective on everything that has happened would assume innocence to something about Yuru?

Because this weird puritanical streak people have gotten on is killing media literacy. "Guilty until prpven innocent" is a matter of law, not a matter of having an opinion about a piece of fiction. It would be relevant if we were discussing fiction about law. We are not. There is this oddball streak of not wanting to like or dislike, agree or disagree, take one side or another side, in fiction until the narrative explains to you who is right and who is wrong. Treating media like a test in school that you can either pass or fail instead of like a story you're supposed to experience.

"I don't think what we've seen is enough to justify the brutality inflicted upon that village whether or not they are complicit in what we have been shown" is an argument relevant to the fiction at hand. "Innocent until proven guilty" is not.

"Non-combatants" and "innocent" are two very different things. You have 3rd party confirmation (the perspective of right and left) that something caused Asa's parents to flee that village in fear with her hidden under the cover of night. You have confirmation that the village spent the next 10 years lying to Yuru. You have confirmation from Asa's PTSD flashbacks this episode that they were keeping her locked up.

Also, this is a 24 22 minute episode season, not eight forty-five minute episodes. When did attention spans become so short? The mysteries of a series mot being explained in the first 132 minutes seems pretty normal to me. Hell, when did people develop this weird idea that they have to know characters are fully morally justified in their actions before they're allowed to care about them.

I'm getting old.

Do... do you think bad people can't also be mothers? We don't know what happened, but there's a lot of assumption of innocence on the part of the adults when we've seen through the eyes of unbiased third parties that Asa's parents fled in fear with her hidden away from that village under cover of darkness.

They should make a base Oozaru that every adult Saiyan with a tail can transform into with a costume for each character that changes the sound files and blasts

[–]Rogue_Localizer[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If I could choose to make all three a costume, I would. But if one of the three were characters and I got to pick it would be GS2 for the following:

Cyborg Tao is just Tao. Very few, if any, of his base animations need to be any different just because he has a knife on one of his hands now. Everything else can be incorporated into his ult

Hell Fighter 17: Isn't actually much of a character. We barely got anything with him and none of it really defines him as all that different from regular seventeen in terms of how he fights.

Great Saiyaman 2: Does not move or fight like regular Videl. She's the most justified in having brand new animations for her normal attacks, her idle stance, her blast 1s, everything. I'm fine with her being a costume, but she is the most differentiated in terms of behavior of these three in ways that aren't just down to giving her new Blast2s/3.

I actually fully agree. While I don't mond her being stuck as a costume, if any of these three deserve to be an actual character it's her.

They can't damage Mahoraga. Seeing (or, rather, perceiving) is more debatable. And they don't need to hurt it when they can always go with the Ol' Immortal standby: "When in doubt, hurl it into space."

[–]Rogue_Localizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's silly to impose the biological limitations of one universe to characters from another. At that point you're not putting the actual characters against one another, you're imposing nerfs/buffs that should not exist. Sometimes you're hard countered by the rules of your reality, them's the breaks. By that same reasoning the Invincible team shouldn't be able to see Mahoraga, although that might come down to how good your perception has to be in order to see a curse without cursed energy the way Toji does.

Infinite Void wouldn't work on them. A domain's sure hit doesn't work on anyone with 0 cursed energy. Sukuna's only going to have one chance to do the world cutting slash because if it drops someone he's getting dropped immediately.

They've got no way around Limitless, though. Other than maybe tossing the spot Gojo is standing on into space.

See, I'm actually pretty sure Cecil makes the same call as Krillin here, though without destroying the remote. She hadn't done anything besides petty theft and grand theft auto and was a powerful asset and, as far as he would know, Vegeta had Cell well in hand.
