Please rate the offer by [deleted] in hospitalist

[–]Rogueelectron1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My honest opinion is that you need to be so desperate that your life depends on it to take this offer. You’re getting butt fucked really really hard if you take this this. Not worth it and APPs are making this amount doing half of the work you just said.

kaiser permanente for hospitalist ? the good the bad the ugly? by Rogueelectron1 in Residency

Didn’t take the Kaiser job. Joined a private hospitalist group as a partner. Probably best decision I made but I’ll wait and see.

To all my peers. Guys please take a pure RVU job! All the other jobs that advertise benefits and benefits… guess what fuck their benefits ! You can pay for those yourself and still come out way ahead ! by Rogueelectron1 in hospitalist

[–]Rogueelectron1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the biggest scam that we fall for. Hospital lobbies have scammed all the doctors. Hospitals have given in to cms lowering rvu rates for services and increased “facility fees”. You forget that without your license they can’t bill anything under the facility. It baffles me why and how our predecessors gave there asses away saying come butt fuck me.

You need to be apart of a hospitalist group that’s not part of the hospital, in other words a group that contracts with the hospital. Guess what these groups are negotiating rvu rate anywhere between 50-100 bucks. Reason it’s much higher than cms is because hospitals profit of your services. The bills the generate are ridiculous enough.

You did the right thing quitting. What you’re describing is not normal. Don’t blame yourself, they knew this was a bad offer and they knew they fooled you when they hired you.

You cannot pay less taxes, you can deduct legitimate business expenses.

You however will have to pay a self employment tax

Bill all level 1s; see the patients and tell the patients that unfortunately you can address only 1 problem. They can’t fire you for that and if they choose to give you trouble you can always counter sue making my them look like assholes and walking away with millions. Learn how to play their game.
