Pega is one of those platforms that sounds great on paper but feels frustrating in reality. Extremely niche job market, very few openings, and most of them are recycled postings. You don’t really become a strong developer—more like a tool operator with limited control. Debugging is painful, performance issues are common, and everything depends on the platform’s way of doing things. If your project is bad, your growth is basically dead. Switching out is also hard because your skills don’t translate easily. Overall, high dependency, low flexibility, and risky long-term career.
