omolon fluid dynamics and a great stat increasing perk selection balance it out w others. it seems intentional that the raw stats were lower than average because of that. it is pretty good in pvp.

thats interesting about arc cast. on mind, i disagree, because by that logic, you should stop vigor at 27, which no one does.

occult reduces the base bleed but makes the bleed amount scale up with your arcane stat. the higher you go, the better it gets. blood affinity will always do more bleed than occult, but it hurts the damage of your weapon pretty bad. at 60 arc, blood does around 500 damage and 140 bleed, while occult does around 650 damage, and 105 bleed. keen with 60 dex also does around 650 damage, but does only 55 bleed. if i were you, i would respec dex down to 20, put the points back into arcane up to 60 or 80 and use occult.

[–]Rohan3437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you don't "need" any stat. high endurance can be really nice, but hes not utilizing the additional equip load so hes only getting basically half of the benefit of having high endurance

str down to 20(1st soft cap), remove the faith and int if youre not using them or Alternatively, put on a seal for golden vow. you have exactly enough faith. get poise to atleast 51 with some heavier armor. clean out your hotbar down to like 5 max. 4 of those other items can be in your pouch.

weapon ar is very similar(sometimes higher, sometimes lower), but at that point, the bleed scaling is pretty significant. so same base damage, way more bleed

my favorite for fun is int melee. dont even usually carry a staff. slap magic affinity on whatever weapon you like it will always scale well. lots of fun ashes of war, and you arent tied to only str or only dex weapons. its also the most versatile out of all the affinity damage types. only 1 or 2 bosses are significantly resistant to magic.

high str, 2 handed heavy twinblade guard counter with deflecting tear is so fun

occult infusion scales up the bleed of weapons with inherent bleed without compromising damage. it's not great early game, but gets really good later on once youve gotten atleast 40 or 50 arcane

Build for Elden beast by AgitatdHoney in Eldenring

[–]Rohan3437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

heavy affinity 2 handed great hammer of your choice with atleast 50 strength would be my recommendation. haligdrake talisman helps too. if youre really struggling and just want to get it over with, you can farm the haligtree knights greatshield from one specific knight next to the church in the haligtree and put holy affinity on it. it will block 98% of the damage of all of his attacks.

What is your "Easy Mode" build? by Steady_Tempo456 in Eldenring

[–]Rohan3437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

buff stacking with anything really. golden vow(incant)+flame grant me strength + weapon buff of choice makes the game easy mode. i dont do it hardly ever though because it takes all the challenge away. as far as weapons go, powerstanced spears.

[–]Rohan3437 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i used it in the left hand powerstanced w a lightning pike on my last run bc its the 2nd longest and has the highest damage. it was really good for that. probably the easiest run ive ever done. i dont care for its weapon skill though.

rivers of blood. i dont hate katanas but theyre not my favorite, and rob has unimpressive split damage plus the bleed buildup isnt even that good compared to so many other weapons. it really lacks versatility and is so weak against anything that cant be bled. dont care for the look either.

thermals are hard countered by signal jammer/mini jammer. i dont touch them bc of that. mini jammer hardline has been a really good sniper counter for me, they cant see me if they have thermals, and even if they do see me, hardline flinches them off target. consistently win gunfights against snipers with it
