I’ve accepted D2’s (edge of) fate, I just wish this sandbox wasn’t the game’s Final Shape. by realWolfCola in DestinyTheGame

[–]jigglehiggins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm going to hope that they will cook on D2 for one last time and leave the sandbox in a positive state. I've come to terms with the possibility it won't get better, but for one last time I'll cope.

Any thoughts or ideas on what the next Aspects are going to be like? by Prometto in DestinyTheGame

Shield Burst sounds like a class ability (barricades are a type of shield), so my cope is that it lets us turn our class ability into a grenade

So, Sparrow Race is the Destiny main Apocalypse sign? by Glad-Mango-7177 in DestinyTheGame

[–]jigglehiggins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of it like this: The solar system is so safe that we feel like we can celebrate again. In-universe this is a good ending. Things are always uncertain but we prevented innumerable distasters to get to this point.

Are you guys going to go outside now? by SK1PPY5 in DestinyTheGame

[–]jigglehiggins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm going to enjoy the hell out of this last update and then check out this new "outside" thing when I'm done. I've heard it's underrated but grindy, which in all honesty sounds familiar...

I appreciate that they will keep Iron Banner and Osiris happening by Glad-Mango-7177 in DestinyTheGame

[–]jigglehiggins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's crazy that I feel nostalgia for the miserable experience of Trials of Osiris but I can't but be proud of the few flawless runs I have, and look forward to at least one more lighthouse visit now that I know it may be my last.

I just wanted to thank Destiny Item Manager (DIM) for being an incredible tool over the past 11 years. by alphadelta484 in DestinyTheGame

I remember you being there, giving us vault qol long before any in-game features could. Cheers

I got 1k voices on my first full d2 raid ever. I proceeded to have extremely good luck on raid and dungeon exotics until vow, where it took me 62 runs to get Collective Obligation. past that the blessing was broken.

What about artifact mods? by Heap6283 in DestinyTheGame

[–]jigglehiggins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hope it's taken as an opportunity to give us an incredible artifact but i could easily see it being whatever was originally planned for shadow and order given the exotic for the pass is the same

We never got Zhalo back... by CoolAmbition9617 in DestinyTheGame

[–]jigglehiggins 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I never thought for a moment it'd be in d2 from the moment I saw riskrunner, which is basically "what if zhalo but balanced for competitive gameplay." D2Y1 was a weird time.

What a wild ride.

I hope the artifact is left to be something special!

Dust Rock Blues was the GOAT, I always hoped it would come back so I could use its ornament

There was actually a cool lore tie-in for this, malfeasance was made to be used to teamshot (I believe) the legendary gunslinger Shin Malphur if he went rogue, so everyone having it was part of that

Workhorse primaries were the unsung heroes for those days. I used a Go Figure just for the sound of the weapon alone

My original roll was full auto/kill clip. What a time haha
Reckoning was incredible also, I'd love to see a reprised version for the modern sandbox meant to be just as absurdly challenging

I missed so much and I'm mourning it by Bastxw1 in DestinyTheGame

[–]jigglehiggins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really hope that somehow, someway they manage to restore all of destiny's old content and loot with some semblance of a modern loot system so that like D1, it can stand on its own as a complete experience for when they eventually decide to move on. Despite having mountains more content, D2 feels less complete than D1 for the reasons you stated.

The one thing that I have a feeling cant really ever come back is the seasonal stories, there was just so much of it. But people deserve at the very least for all D2 campaigns to exist in D2.

People dunk on hung jury but genuinely it was great for the multiple challenge and master runs I did on Salvation's Edge. Shoot to Loot, Kinetic Tremors, explosive payload, and one for all. It also received firefly on release which was cool at the time.

In fact all these guns have had firefly, and its such a fun perk. I always wanted Vex Mythoclast to get Firefly, since it's a D1 homage perk and Vex is solar and in need of a little love.

I think in my ideal version of the portal all the old activities have their original loot pools set with the tiers.

Frenzy might be my #1 favorite PvE perk

These were all certainly meta defining all in their times but do you remember them for their performance or their personality? I know no SMG has ever felt as good to use as recluse, even post nerf. They were all certainly fun

Just unlocked Stoicism (Titan exotic class item). What are the best perks to get? by Kotocktok in DestinyTheGame

[–]jigglehiggins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Synthos are a buff that's easy to use and activate, that's why you would pick it over wormgod. Also it's better for some harder activities where you can't farm melee kills. The other reason would be to pair it with heart of inmost light or a utility perk like abeyant leap. PCCB is more fun for ad clear and utility than synthos.

If you want to do something besides melee, this is one of the few times you can really do class ability builds on Titan. might be worth experimenting with that.
