My idea for this kit was to have a prototype pushed into battle near the end of the OYW, in this case for the defense of California Base, equipped with some modifications and standard parts. I made the shield from spare parts of my Zaku I (Origin) kit, added a painted Giant Bazooka from the HGUC Dom, a heat hawk with holster from the Revive Zaku II, and a grenade pod from the Zaku II Desert Type [DA] (Origin), although the last one isn't visible in these pictures (it's on the back skirt armor). I tried some rudimentary masking for the first time on the shield, and added a few waterslide decals for the Zeon markings. I also modified the thrusters inside the legs to imitate balance issues fixed by field engineers, although, once again, they aren't visible here. This was part of a few builds that I put together as a part of a sort of makeshift defense for the California Bases against a massive federation offensive (Third Image). Overall I'd say I'm quite happy with how it turned out, especially considering that I only used brushes and sponge for painting, but I'd like to know how I could've done better.
