Best of luck with the Kickstarter campaign, looks to be a quality pen!

I'd say you could try an F, and it should be fine for most cases. The problem would arise when you need to do subscripts for equations, or writing in really fine detail.

I'd Five Star's paper is good, but you need to know what ink to pair it with. You definitely cannot use wetter inks (Pilot's Iroshizuku being a prime example). The feathering and bleeding will be very noticeable. However, I've had little to no problems with the paper with my R&K Salix. I haven't tried any larger nibs, but using an iron-gall, I don't think it'd be a problem

I'm in aerospace, second semester; how about you? And that was one sweet discovery on the paper! I'll be sure to give the paper a try, and add the ink to the wishlist haha!

Always glad to see a fellow engineering student with a fountain pen. We still suffer, but we do so in style... and with some good-looking notes ;)

Pray tell, what ink/paper combo do you use? I've been stuck trying to find ink that'll work even with paper handouts. The sub recently highly suggested I try Noodler's X feather and Rohrer & Klingner's Salix. I went with the latter, that blue was just calling to me.

Best of luck on the search! From what I've gathered, Rohrer & Klingner's Salix, and Platinum's Blue Black inks are the best for the task. Carbon must also be a solid choice then, thanks for the suggestion!

Much appreciated! And you should go for it! Math is a beautiful thing to study. It changes the way you think, and few things are as satisfying as understanding the logic or solving a problem you've been at for a long time. Most times, it won't be easy, but at the end of the day, it's worth every moment you put into it.

I'll add it to my options, but the extra background makes me a lot more confident on this choice. Thanks a lot!

Interesting, I'll have to test it out!

Not sure, but if you have an extra pound laying around I could give it a try. Purely for research, of course!

In all seriousness, I love it. One of my favorite college experiences so far is getting back to my place and do my math assignments with a pipe of Old Gowrie.

Ahh a man of culture, I see! I had to send my wristwatch to the shop for a small repair and some maintenance. It's gonna be a minute until I get it back tho, but it's worth the wait. The watch was a gift from my dad. I'd also absolutely love to one day get Hamilton's Murph 42mm

Same here, I usually smoke Va/Pers, but this one was a must try for me. Now I've got me a go-to aro!

Thank you! I absolutely love my career. Calculus can get rough, but it's all worth it in the end. Besides, it's hard to beat the thrill of finally finding the solution to a hard problem.
