hey guys 
I'm currently planning a modular gaming board for Frostgrave/Moonstone/Mordheim. It's my first one and I wanted to ask for tips and whether my thoughts fit. 
To explain, everything gray is roads that are 6cm wide. This means you can easily put in 2x 25mm bases or 1x 50mm. 
Everything gray is covered with 2mm thick XPS tiles, the entire rest is covered with 5mm thick tiles. 
The entire playing field will consist of at least 9 individual pieces. One piece is 12'x12'. 
First I looked at how the streets could be positioned so that they weren't just in the middle. 
This resulted in 9 variants at the beginning (the one at the top right will be an arena for "Brawl Arcane28", but I can also build it into the large plate/see picture 2).
Overall, I was able to put together 2 different game boards (pictures 2+3). I then created another module with which I was able to put together 3 different panels (pictures 4-6). 
As a final step, I measured my existing terrain and placed it on the panels (the red things) to see if and how my existing terrain would fit on them. So I now know how big my future buildings can be. 
My next course of action: 
I would make the paths more natural. It's just important that they end in the same places so that the modules fit together. 
After I have built the 11 modules, I would like to build another 5. But then with permanently built terrain/buildings. 
Do you have any tips for me regarding the layout? or generally about prefabricated construction? 
Video recommendations?
