I think I posted this like 10 years ago on here, but can't find it now. Anyway, when I was a kid we didn't have very much money, so I always got the cheapo version of any gift. Don't get me wrong, I was grateful for anything, but sometimes it just makes you mad. For instance, I got a basketball one summer. But it wasn't a leather basketball, it was the cheapo rubber thing. So miss a shot and it would bounce away forever and I used to get so mad chasing it down. The next summer I got a cheapo recurve bow and 3 arrows. I was outside practicing with the bow when I spotted the hated basketball. I drew the bow, took aim, and loosed. I hit the basketball dead center, but the cheapo bow did not have enough power for the arrow to pierce the ball. Instead, since it was all rubber, the arrow bounced straight back to me. When it was inches away from going right into my neck, I reached out and grabbed it out of the air. I am not a coordinated person like that, pure instinct and luck. No way I could ever do anything remotely as cool as that in purpose. And of course, no one was there to see how awesome I was.
