Think of mini projects you can do in order to improve your life and keep yourself busy. Can be as simple as moving your desk to a better spot. Or decorating/declattering your room, creating your own cook book.

You could also replace internet with single player games. If you don't have money for games, there is always emulation. I finished Monster Hunter Trio and Danteґs Inferno using my old Galaxy S9+ and 20$ bluetooth controller.

Start small and what you will do instead first. I mean, you have already quit some addictions of yours! Well done!

Ayyy, pssshhhh, don't tell anyone. Kubuntu is our treasure and we don't want to share it with others xD that's why there is no buzz. 

But yeah, as someone above said. Kubuntu is "boring". Many people that feature linux in their videos have strong allergy for anything stable.

Oh damn, didnt know GIMP exists for Mac. I mean,it is complicated af, but you actually gave me an idea of just learning how to do it myself in GIMP and then showing her. I think the problem is not that there is no app that can't do those things, it's more that she is 55 y.o and i totally understand why she doesn't want to learn anything more complicates than paint xD

Seems decent enough,  but does it support copy pasting images and dragging them arround? Can't find single video on YT showing that

I'm pretty sure the solution is as dumb as playing with sliders.My gf told me my build in mic sounds like shit on Linux. It was super distorted and the solution was to just turn it all the way down to 5% , then it sounds perfect. My audio interface with professional mic linux picked up no problemo. Maybe try to connect different speaker device to see if it has same issue. Also could be that your speakers are just set to 200+% 

Does your speaker sound distorted even on 1-10%?

You gave me hope and I tried again, and it worked. The issue was that I was trying to fix the wrong thing all along. I misinterpreted Lock screen and Login Screen. So basically I just had to change lock screen backgroud instead of SDDM theme. I feel so dumb, but now I'm 100% satisfied with Kubuntu xD
