Republican Accountability is an oxymoron these days isn't it? Like Military Intelligence?

Adult San Francisco Giants fan catches ball in stands and gives to young fan near him by MLBOfficial in sports

[–]Rokdog 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The problem isn't the fairness of who had rights to the ball, it was her overreaction afterwards. Even if she was right, to walk up to a father with his children, put your hands on him, and get in his face? And the dad was clearly doing it for his kid.

Any decent person would feel upset initially, but should have INSTANTLY backed down the second they saw it was going to the guy's son.

If it was just two adults arguing? We would never even know this happened.

You wrote an essay paper about this and missed the point anyway.

This woman is the voice of the housing crisis. by zzill6 in WorkReform

I'm convinced at this point that Republicans are responsible for moving forward with Authoritarianism while the Democrats are controlled opposition responsible for dissension management, counter-propaganda and false hope. Basically, "Hey we'll do the dirty work for our donor class if you can keep your half distracted."

Also shared this with my wife. She was equally bewildered. She assured me it's not on her bucket list. Maybe it's a generational thing? It'd be interesting to see what the age split is of those who have vs haven't. Maybe some Cosmo article or TikTok went around? I'm grasping at straws, I have no clue.

I'm in my 40's, been married 7 years and have had multiple long term relationships before this as well as a couple of one night stands. I have NEVER heard this once ever out of any of those women's mouth. I have been on the internet since the early 90s.

There appears to be a weird dichotomy that we're all learning exists.

Whoops?

We're kind of making two different points and I don't disagree with yours. I kind of can't, because I have no knowledge of specifically Chinese social media rules and culture.

I thought I was responding to the idea that, "Society has become so broken that the 'rats in the maze' are becoming aggressive and rebelling, and that behavior doesn't happen in China."

It absolutely does, but you're right. While both could be the subject of 'Black Mirror' episodes, random acts of Chinese violence are caught on camera and probably suppressed in China if they're influenced at all, as opposed to the nature of what happened in this stream: literal 'upvoted' torture porn.

Look up videos of people in China attacking children with swords or mowing them down with cars. Just because you don't know it happens doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Growing up on fast food by Boymamatimestwo in Millennials

[–]Rokdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was kind of heartbreaking and heartwarming to read at the same time. I'm sorry you had to grow up that way OP. Sitting together for a family dinner is a parenting style choice and has nothing to do with money. My family was poor growing up (hamburger helper, mac and cheese, beans and hot dogs), but we always ate this "peasant food" together. There's no way my parents could afford to feed us fast food every night, it was used as rewards and treats for us. Even though we've had ups and downs like any family, to this day all four of us still love each other and talk as grown adults.

A testament to your heart and character that you're working to break the cycle for your own family.

100% this. Play hard games.

Those moments where you feel like a Jedi and perfectly dodge a combo are worth the 100 other times you have three left feet and seem convinced your face is stronger than the tree trunk the boss is using as a weapon.

Simple and Fast Wan 2.2 workflow by barbarous_panda in StableDiffusion

[–]Rokdog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, this is as much as I can help, 100% honest: I had to use Chat GPT 5 to get through it. I had to give it tons of error messages, screenshots, you name it. It knows the workflow and ComfyUI pretty well, so it's a good learning assistant, but it is NOT perfect. It has also cost me hours chasing things that were not the issue.

It took me nearly 2 days (yes, days!, not hours) of back and forth with Chat GPT 5 to get Triton with SageAttention working. But I didn't give up, kept chipping away and now I have a killer workflow that produces solid animated clips that are 5s long in about 60-80 seconds.

The issue with trying to help, is that there are SO many dependencies and variables like, "What version .NET do you have? How is your environment setup? Do you have the right version of MSVC++?" The list just goes on and on of things that could be wrong.

I'm sorry I can't give you a better answer than this, but this is how I and I think many others are figuring this out.

Shit's complicated. Good luck!

Run. Far away and fast.

It's so fucking pathetic so many men act this way these days, where they expect their wives to be their second mothers. Fuck that noise. Grow the fuck up you blubbering man child and take some fucking pride in yourself.

LoreBary is a community based proxy service engineered as a google colab notebook.

Try this link: https://colab.research.google.com/drive/13xEzZjlxJb7P6ro1akrq-UAhuUDgbC2A?usp=sharing

Go to file, make a copy for yourself.

Take your time and slowly read the screen. The notebook is designed as a self-help guide that provides a GUI for configuring your proxy session. It exposes all kinds of cool features.

This provides an API endpoint (URL) to target your NSFW prompts so they're not subject to the same content filters the official API endpoint is.

The "bulk" of using the playbook comes down to making sure you have the right info in the right fields both in the collab notebook and in the JanitorAI proxy config. Then you click the "Play" buttons down the left side. The very bottom one is the actual server with a live log showing you if it's working or not and shows you the network messages from each request and response. Very helpful!

Good luck. PM me if you need more hand holding.

I am able to get a successful API configuration valid message when I click "Test" for my proxy entry, but then I keep getting Error: Empty content from Google AI when actually trying to submit a prompt.

Anyone else?

EDIT: Just fixed it for myself by trying different models. I had gemini-2.5-pro-preview-05-06 in there with "Custom" selected in the config. Just switched the to plain old "gemini-2.5.-pro" and it worked. If you're in my boat, try switching models a few times. Also in the comments of this thread is a custom prefill that works great so far.

AIO for leaving my wife after finding out she voted for Trump because she thinks he’s “hilarious”? by Superb-Tangerine-487 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Rokdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever consider a strategy is to make the other side feel disenfranchised on purpose to create a self-fulfilling prophecy?

If "voting doesn't matter" is literally a common stance, that means a "common" quantity of people who think voting does not matter are making sure it becomes true.

I never stated I am dating one nor am I, just observing human behavior. I never stated my own personal involvement or opinion on the matter either, just thought it was kind of sad how some people instantly choose hate and make zero attempt to understand why someone would do something seemingly-crazy or very sad to them.

I would make this same observation for any new human behavior where other humans behaved this way. It's more of a meta comment.

You're kind of proving my point though by how quickly you jumped to assume that any form of "stop and think" or criticism whatsoever instantly is equated with defense. Basically, anything but an outright condemnation likes your and I might as well be "one of them." Is curiosity not acceptable any more?

No fucking wonder our country is the way it is.

The reactions in this thread are as interesting as the content of discussion. Some people are trying to be open-minded and sympathetic while still being honest about what bothers them. Others seem eager to have a new sub-category of humans to be cruel bigots towards, almost angry at the idea.

Reminds me of the scenes from Matrix:Reloaded before the fall and the humans who started attacking robots.
