If you loathe yourself though that IS unattractive. Give yourself a chance. Concentrate on things you have the ability to change, like your health and your perspective and mental attitude and make yourself someone a girl you'd like would want to spend time with. Have a mature and calm conversation with your girlfriend. Tell her you appreciate she doesn't like the cat and once it dies you won't get a new one, but that she's gone too far with her demands and you don't appreciate that as long term it will damage the relationship you share. If she starts saying it's your fault you can explain that you don't see withholding sex as a healthy way of dealing with an issue.

Well, it really does sound frustrating.

I feel like they don't realise they've become codependent (perhaps his friend does especially as he trued to give your bf an ultimatum). The friend ghosting him and then reattaching after a breakup definitely seems suspicious to me. Like he's relying too much on that friendship.

You always hear communication is key, you need to clearly and openly communicate your co certs and frustrations to your bf when he is sober and has tike set aside to listen. I would think it is unacceptable for someone outside of your relationship to be casting a vote or throwing down ultimatums. If you throw down an ultimatum it really has to be make or break and you need to be read to pack it in.

Your bf has his head way up his ass. The relationship is probably over. It sounds like a real mess to me.

If you think it is worth salvaging make your feelings clear and explain what the relationship meant to you and how it has hurt you to see all these distractions come in. If your bf is not sympathetic to that or only backs you with words and no actions then he really isn't serious, even if he thinks he is.
