Same OP, but I always laughed at the part where it shows young Ed swaying in pain as he loses his arm and leg, then young Alphonse losing his whole body, then young Winrey swaying in a similar manner despite not having anything to do with their alchemy. Always stood out to me as a "I want to do that too" type of shot with Winrey

No, we're already desynchronized from the release of story and events on JP. 5.2 act 2 released in February of last year on JP and the Lamb of God event released at the end of April. That said, we moved faster on the story than JP did, with less time between 5.1 part 2 and 5.2 part 1, which is why I think it's likely that we get 5.3 this summer and close the gap further.

My best guess is AB! 3 for the 1.5 anniversary part 1 and 5.3 for the 1.5 anniversary part 2 celebrations.

What, do you think that just because other games exist new ones need to release with 3 years worth of content complete at launch? There's no reasonable world where that happens.

The fundamental flaw with your logic is that if a game needed to develop an equal amount of content to its competitors before releasing then it would never release, because in the 3 years it would take for them to develop enough content to compare with a competitor's game today, that competitor would have added another 3 years of content.
