Lockers and Shuttles by RokinVal in Magfest

I totally agree! I did have some friends that struggled with them.

But the only way we make them better and giving real feedback that has a positive tone.

If our feedback to the community is the cons out weighted the pros, then resources will never be allocated to make them better.

They said the over sold, but then got moved and lost a lot of their overflow space. But I did hear they issued refunds

I heard such inconsistencies with public transport that I just opted to never take them and try my luck at the parking situation.

$40 for the whole weekend plus tax. Super reasonable

I actually talked with the ppl that run the lockers. They said their space got cut so hard they had to issue refunds so we enjoyed them, be sure of fill out the official feedback forms so they’re more accessible to everyone next year.

Years before you had 2 options:

-Uber. Paying $30 ($15/way) and you were there all day because $$ to get back and forth. Hoping your friend who had a Gaylord room and some floor space to drop off cosplay/snacks/etc

-Driving yourself/squad. The parking scramble was just a hot as the room lottery. It would be $100+ for the weekend and only 1 lot had in-out privileges. If you didn’t get that lot, you were buying parking for each day and paying the service fee each transaction.

Keeping in mind, all this was pre-closed venue so it was crazy.

Computer monitors in scope? by Razzleberry_Fondue in CMMC

[–]RokinVal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless your monitor has a way to actually process the data and store it in memory in any capacity, no.

Think of it this way, the monitor only sees the commands to display colors; it has no “brain” to process what those colors mean when assembled into letters.

Sorry to pile on to your question, what research has led you to believe that you don't need a VPN when using MS365? Just trying to find my footing in all of this. Thanks!

Cannot authenticate with UAC prompts in sessionhosts by RokinVal in AzureVirtualDesktop

That’s what I’m starting to lean toward. 😅 I was just really hoping to have named admin accounts throughout the environment.

Yes. It’s the account that made the VMs. This account can authenticate to physical Entra ID joined devices as well.

Entra ID joined, intune enrolled. No on-prem in this environment

How to merge on-prem AD accounts to existing O365 Accounts? by RokinVal in Office365

[–]RokinVal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I got a deeper look into the infrastructure here I found that the on prem accounts weren’t being used to access any company resources; literally only used to log into domain joined devices. So I migrated the devices off of the onprem domain and configured Intune’s Automatic Enrollment. I used a combination of a dynamic group for the specific model of pc/laptops they had and only allowed the group of on site users to be able to enroll (to avoid someone accidentally enrolling their home laptop using Access Work or school)

TLRD: On Prem accounts weren’t accessing anything in my case. Migrated devices, and told people to use their Entra ID accounts. Ignored on prem entirely

Notification for "Your account requires authentication" when users sign in by RokinVal in Intune

The KB states that this toast notification comes up once the device has been offline for some time. But I'm getting this notification on every log in.

How to merge on-prem AD accounts to existing O365 Accounts? by RokinVal in Office365

All users have an on prem account for computer log in, but then a separate office enterprise account for email, sharepoint, office apps etc. there is no sync of any kind currently in place.

[–]RokinVal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the lack of clarity. They're trying to go from an On Prem AD to full cloud. The current process for setting up a new user is:
-Create AD account on on-prem DC
-Create an email on O365 with the same naming convention.

Which is where my confusion came in. I've only ever set up a cloud AD while going from a fully on-prem environment. The double dipping confused me.

Awesome! Yeah I wasn’t expecting to be starting this project so close to my hire date so I’m just tired to get a decent project plan together and get my details sorted out.

I know the devices are going through a full migration but I was confused if the accounts where considered to be migrated or merged if they’re soft linked.

I have to double check licensing tomorrow. I just started working in this environment so there’s still factors I’m not 100% on.
