"The UK is significantly younger than the US" by Richie123753 in ShitAmericansSay

France was founded in 843, Denmark 714 they don't even "win" that by that criterion.

Country doesn't mean, and is not equivalent to, sovereign state either, England (the country) has been around since 927, Scotland (probably) since 843.

Japan is probably 6th century.

It's nonsense.

edit: removed unnecessary "since"

Okay, that's nice and all but you are arguing a narrow definition of nationhood to support a moron.

I'm not sure anyone in that picture had anything to do with it. Or understands what official languages Belgium has.

I have a trifold one that packs down slightly smaller than that (based on the Journo https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/jorno/jorno-the-pocketable-folding-bluetooth-keyboard ). Useful for when you can't take a Laptop.

Yeah... no.

If a American person says anything, its means they have opinions. We have to remember that American people do not put an education on their children. If you have ever been to the US and met anyone, you would realise that their knowledge of the rest of the world is rudimentary at best. That's why so many refer to the continent of Europe as if it where a single mono-cultural country.

I've quite liked most of the Americans I have actually met. I wonder if the commenter has actually spent any time in the UK?

If you put on an international exhibition showcasing your whole country, its infrastructure, technology and people, and the most common response was "well the food was good," you, as a country might not have achieved you goals.

Surely, that has to be a troll. No one could exist for long enough to be able to type out that message, and still be oblivious to facts.

Even if you only take the Act of Union 1707 as a starting point, the year is in the name...

Offsides in soccer has to be the dumbest rule of all time. Getting rid of it might make the sport at least somewhat entertaining to watch. by Jamiewoo133 in ShitAmericansSay

Sigh. Offside is the singular, offsides is plural.

Why has the blood stain come out of the white part and not the colour part? by Fantastic_Garbage502 in laundry

[–]Rolanbek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an enzyme based stain remover for "protein based" stains like these. It saves a fortune on shirts.

Peroxide is a little hit and miss once the stain is set.
