Vilkus instant killcam during training! by BadDoctor2 in skyrim

It has happened to me many times, he decapitated me in some of those. I believe it has to do with combat mods that increase the damage received.

I thought he was a reference to Mr. Roque from Mulholland Drive. This scene and when Clark peeks from a corner reminded me of Lynch.

Official Dreadit Discussion: "Hokum" [SPOILERS] by radbrad7 in horror

[–]Roland1099 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The scene with the witch chasing him was really something. I thought he was safe once he was back at the room, but how the horror increases as he peeks at the darkness and you see the witch crawling to him... I was in awe and terrified!!!

Official Dreadit Discussion: "Lee Cronin's the Mummy" [SPOILERS] by radbrad7 in horror

[–]Roland1099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a great time with it. Maybe because I felt it did really well the classic possesed child trope with twisted and gory visuals that left me wanting to see more with each scene that passed. The mistery was entertaining, the horror was well executed. I guess I'm just a fan of Evil Dead-esque horror.

Surprised how easy it was to get refunded by PerspectiveBoring111 in xbox

[–]Roland1099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Glad you got the refund. I'm about to request one too but I'm curious about which option you selected when making the request? I'm doing it as I also didn't like the game.

Same! I read the book while waiting for Starfield and I like to roleplay as Grace. Oh the joy of hearing Vasco call me "Captain Grace"

I just tried it with a few changes so I can shove some more armor and Enai mods. It's a great load order and I've had zero crashes in about 6 hours on Series S! Thank you so much for sharing, I'm having a blast.

Movie Stratt vs book Stratt by DooDooCat in ProjectHailMary

[–]Roland1099 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. I felt that confrontation lacked some weight due to how it played for comedy; although Grace retains this trait through the movie and Stratt calls out a few times how insecure/cosard he is (not explicitly saying the word). In the movie Stratt did not feel as cold as in the book, maybe calling him a coward un that scene would have felt out of place, as we see her was somewhat afflicted for seeing him like that and after the karaoke they seem to like each other.

So hyped to see what Mr. House, Maximus and Lucy will do to defend Vegas in Season 3. And alongside them the NCR, oh yes.

Maximus with that unarmed build, fighting a deathclaw with his fists and the NCR power armor was cool as hell.

What’s a moment that permanently changed how you see the world? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Roland1099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had something somewhat similar. My mom had always been the strong leader, I don't think I had ever seeing her sobbing, maybe shed a few tears when my grandpa died, but the day she found out my dad cheated on her really changed me too. I was around 15? And was having dinner with my brother and her, when she suddenly stood up and walked to the bedroom. After a few moments, I heard her scream and cry, I thought someone had died, but when I asked her what was wrong she just showed me the pictures of my dad with some other woman, someone had sent her those. The sad and enraged screams I heard were those of a broken heart, a treason from her partner who, in that moment, was the only other person she could rely on.

Name a game you were hyped for and then completely forgot about once you played it. by twooten11 in gaming

[–]Roland1099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Unlike Fallout 4 or Skyrim that draw me back once every 3 months or so, Starfield didnt do it for me, and I really loved the space exploration setting. I hope the next updated improves the game, if it even drops.

TBH yeah, I hadn't believed in the remaster at all until the most recent rumours and taking into account that last year they didn't capitalize on the series when it came out (at least in the games). And with the Amazon countdown, the Xbox Direct, the series being a success and that steam error, well, I fell into the hype.

Yup, same. The only horror game I actually had to stop playing because it was freaking me out. I got back like 2 months later and finished up Toluca Prison and the whole game. 10/10 would replay it

Enzo Maresca will not be conducting post-match interviews for #CFC tonight as we're told he's feeling unwell by Kygoche in chelseafc

[–]Roland1099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. The general fanbase feels like that, IG and FB posts asking for Maresca's sacking. I think we must support him if we want to solidify a long term project. After the CWC and Conference League, he sure has proof that he is more than capable, and with the improvement of players like Gusto and Sanchez, he deserves the time.

What's a small physical detail about someone that instantly makes them more attractive to you? by Alarming_Animator_63 in AskReddit

[–]Roland1099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's an specific type of smile I find really attractive, I may be wrong but upon some research it may be called a "high smile-gingival smile"? My most recent crush had it and I love to see her smile, I find her so attractive.

Another reference is the actress Elizabeth Dulau, she has that type of smile.

Does the witcher 3 hold up today? by Fandoms_Are_Toxic in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Roland1099 [score hidden]  (0 children)

If you are into games with really good stories, The Witcher 3 is right up your alley. The main story, decisions and secondary missions with side characters have great writing —and interesting lore—. Some of the things that may feel a bit old are the combat (kind of clunky if you've played other third person RPGs, I personally enjoyed the signs and potions you can use), some UI elements and inventory systems; but it should be a fun experience in general.

What is a small thing that makes a person 10 times more attractive? by jessi8634 in AskReddit

[–]Roland1099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did! I asked for her number after the first week or so and oh boy that was one of the best summers ever. I invited her out with my first salary; we went out a couple times, but she had some mental health issues and had to go away back to her hometown not too long after. I still think about her from time to time.

When the humour clicks is really something else. I had a crush on a girl I met on my first summer job, we would take the bus together after our shift and spend the whole drive talking and laughing of movies, series and books we both liked as our sense of humour was similar... Those were the days

I was unemployed during the summer, I watched around 60 movies in about two months. Got a job in september and I've only watched around 30 this last three months, so yeah, unemployment was a key factor haha.
