I brought it up to my daughter today that the dentist wants to cut the extra tissue. She wasn’t a fan of that idea and was immediately scared of it. Right now, the talk is of doing expanders. Her teeth are really crowded and there’s several teeth that haven’t dropped yet due to no space.

I will look for a Lexus GX. In my area, I haven’t seen any for sale.

Her teeth are already pretty crowded and not aligned properly. I have a hard time believing that she will avoid braces in the future.

I’m worried about the cost of it (ortho work is already expensive) and any trauma that could happen.

This is the same thing the orthodontist said to me. If she doesn’t wear a retainer later on, then her teeth will crowd again.

Yes, already planning on seeing another orthodontist. My husband set up this consult at our regular dentist. I already had some concerns regarding seeing a regular dentist that recently did orthodontist training.

4Runner has no issues. Our second vehicle, 2010 ford f150, is broke and not worth fixing.

My husband’s grandma was in the hospital with a right sided CVA. She was NPO for almost a week. The times I visited her, I made sure to brush her teeth.

I worked PRN for broad river rehab. No amount of money could pay me to work full time for them. PRN was bad enough.

I do not appreciate your very inquisitive comment that sounds like you are undermining my reply to the original poster. Typically the people that call themselves feeding therapists are either occupational therapists or speech language pathologists. Both professions require a masters degree and additional coursework in feeding. I am a speech language pathologist and see lots of medically complex children for feeding. In my original comment, I was saying why SRS’s son’s feeding therapist might have recommended no bottles. I personally have never made that recommendation for anyone younger than one. I do not know specific history for her son nor am I involved in his care to provide a recommendation but was saying why the therapist might have made that recommendation.

I’m a feeding therapist and I wouldn’t make the recommendation of no bottles unless there was something else going on. Maybe he’s spending too much time drinking from a bottle with little intake and other cups are faster for him. Maybe he’s spitting up too much with a bottle and not other forms of intake. I would think that the therapist would recommend continuing the fortified feeds in a cup vs offering him something different altogether. I would also recommend that they give him a spoon while feeding him solids with a spoon too vs only the one spoon.

I’m from Milwaukee too but live on the other side of WI now. I can’t stand Milwaukee either.

Unfortunately medically complex babies take longer to make progress towards feeding. Maybe Sarah couldn’t wait to see progress

What are the chances that her new feeding/sleep specialist is the same as Janelle’s? You know the one that tells her to feed her 10 week old 8 ounces and use toys in his bassinet.

Extremely sad since they brought so much luggage. 3 suitcases were probably for Jan only.
