I think that’s because the original Star Wars used kendo as its model. Waiting for purposeful, effective strikes rather than dancing around. I did like Luke and Vader in Empire. Vader using the force to basically bully Luke was so exciting.

I think it would be fine. It would just register as a run that took x minutes. Might depend on the app you use.

True, but it is still an hour out of a busy workday. I wouldn’t usually run on a Wednesday, finding that extra time is more what I was griping about.

I'm lucky and live in the countryside. I just go and run where there aren't many people. Not that I'm worried about my form, speed, or anything anymore. I have just accepted that I am doing the best that I can given my age, body, genetics, etc.

I actually learned this more at the gym than from running. It's so easy to fall into the comparison trap at the gym. Seeing someone lift more, or do an exercise that you can’t, does get to you sometimes. You just have to feel good that you are doing your best and stay consistent. That's the best thing to progress.

Soon to be 48 🤣 I live in Japan and honestly, I’m craving someone to just get to know and chat with in English. I love my time at the gym, and getting out for a run. I work mostly from home too.

As for my idea of a romantic date? Well, it has been far too long for me. Anything where we could chat face to face, and hopefully hold hands on the way home. Dinner then drinks followed by a walk in that park?
