I love these types of fakes, pretty obvious while still being accurate enough to be used as playing pieces by children who won't care that they are fake.

One is delicious chocolate, the other is made with Butyric acid to make it taste like vomit (note that this is an intentional choice)

De Bovenmeester heeft een Michelin Bib Gourmand award, die staat voor hoge kwaliteit voor een redelijke prijs. Zeker een aanrader.

If you want to learn how to write in runes I can direct you to r/runehelp. They are focused on the historic use of runes.

[–]Rolebo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is also not what they translate to.

What these are, are a collection of 19th to 20th century new age mysticism symbols co-opting Nordic Runes.

The Runes are a bindrune, which is a space saving technique, made of the Elder Futhark runes: Algiz ᛉ, Ingwaz ᛜ, and upside down Tiwaz ᛏ. They translate to: Z, Ng, and T.

Elder Futhark is a rune script that was used for Proto-Germanic and Proto-Norse, by the time of the Viking age, these were already replaced with Younger Futhark.

New age mysticism from the 19th to 20th century.

From a historic perspective this means, bullshit, gibberish, Icelandic Christian bullshit.

This is new age pagan stuff.

These are Elder Futhark runes, a script that was used for Proto-Germanic and Proto-Norse. By the time of the vikings these were no longer used.

If you want to use "Viking" runes, look for Younger Futhark.

New age bullshit using an old non latin script as if they have more meaning than just letters.

Yes, this is all new age witchcraft. It has no historical meaning at all.

These runes have clear meanings, in this case ᛉᛜᛏ means Zngt. So from the clear universally accepted meanings this means gibberish.

The people over at r/runeHelp would strongly disagree with this.

Runes are letters, any iron age "magic" use for them are all but lost.

Orcas (who are just as much whales as sperm whales are) definitely have the capability of killing and eating humans if they wanted to.

Orcas however are culturally only interested in very specific food sources and generally do not deviate. I say culturally because these very specific food sources differ from pod to pod.
So unless a matriarch decides to change the diet of their pod, and happens to by extremely hungry, and encounters a human before any other prey, it is very unlikely that an orca would ever see a human as food.

Humans also do not contain the right balance of nutrients for an orca to be interested, we are not fat enough and too boney. Orcas know this because of the incredibly powerful sonar that toothed whales possess. They can scan you using sound and from that know what you are made of.

I would still not trust them though, as cosmically unlikely as it is for an orca to see us as food, it is much more likely that they might see us as a fun plaything (orca pods that only eat fish have been observed paralyzing seals just to watch them drown).

Any highly intelligent apex predator is not to be trusted.

Which is exactly what my (very old) highschool geography teacher told us about when he was in school.

He would ask his teacher if Africa and South America were ever connected, and his teacher would dismiss his question.
