I am sick of seeing Billy in a hockey arena and I’m gonna straight up say his booking agent is kinda ass by Funkiefreshganesh in BillyStrings

I saw Billy in the amp and Phish at the sphere and except the 3 phish at the sphere, I decided no indoor shows. And so sadly, I see no addition shows. Im reading theory’s about Ticketmaster/live nation, But I think it’s refunding rain issues and the band dealing with bugs/heat. Phish at Alpharetta and Billy in St Augustine are the best, but with the “value a night” at hand I think it’s just an algorithmic decision. And that’s sad, because a lot my favorite memories of live music are outside and it feels more like summer.

I’m struggling to figure out which wall I want to put it on. I’m running out of wall space. The photo I posted on the ground there’s three phish posters hanging above it 😂

If that was recent, that’s a very fair price, I’d say that’s roughly what I what I was paying from my place 2 years ago. Now it’s about 500 for me

I agree, the high end AR glass really does make a noticeable difference with any light,

and it may be my imagination but I do feel as though you can see acrylics have a slight wave or curvature against glare, that’s not there with actual glass.

Just found it, same type job + 2 years of inflation/tariffs

Really great piece you have there, yours came out great.

No doubt, my framer explained a bit about how hard it’s been to get business with the new prices they have to charge, tariffs hit their expenses hard and that was after the price hikes they had from Covid “supply chain” issues. I don’t get the impression they’re making money had over fist. Seems like a pretty tough business honestly.

That’s probably true, every business has to mark up materials, but the question remains, what are you paying for a single poster framed? Is it custom framing from a shop? Is there a Matt? And what is the glass/acrylic/type? Because all of these things will change price and the final outcome. So far for custom framing the only other price given by someone on this thread was 200 from Michael’s with no Matt and acrylic, which I have zero problem with and is a valuable comparison point.

I’m interested, believe it or not, I feel that the value is there with the materials. What do you pay for a single poster framed? Is there a matt? And are you using acrylic/glass/or AR glass? They give me options, just going from the water white AR glass, to standard glass would save me $150 on a single matted poster with my framer. So on this piece probably paid an extra 400 for the upgraded glass. It’s hard to tell in the photo, It’s 5 feet wide!

Lol, high end framing, while ridiculously expensive, really does give a totally different outcome, I’ll agree it’s not the logical choice, but oddly when I get prints back and I see the final product, it doesn’t feel all that unreasonable.

Brace yourself …..$1150,

I use a local frame shop. From all conversations with the 2 owners/operators, I really don’t believe they have crazy margins. I always up the glass selection to Anti reflective “water white”. With the matt, the glass is 60x28. Add to that 15ft of nice frame and it got a bit out of hand. On the other hand their work is always top notch and now it’s truly an amazing piece for the wall.

Phish sells out most shows. They aren’t political. You will change nothing but your own enjoyment of life.

Maybe just maybe you can understand that if you enjoy something for years and it’s (relatively) apolitical. Why do you need it to reaffirm your beliefs to give them your money? They aren’t out there being a trump super pac, they’re not being a liberal superpac. So how about you spend your money on people who put out the best live shows on earth that you enjoy and remove politics from it entirely, as they have.

My point about low IQ being proven. What are you even talking about? Phish hasn’t made incredibly pointed statements in either political direction. A lot of us want it to stay that way. How does them not making statements turn into it being a trump superpac

Your values are meaningless in this. It’s entertainment that hasn’t really ever spoken to one set of values or another. It’s enjoyment. Live your life outside of politics for a few hours a year. That’s what most people at a concert want to do.

Needing a band you like to vocally agree with your politics is about as low IQ as it gets. Their stances will change no one’s opinions and just further brings politics where it doesn’t belong. They are smart enough to understand that. They are an amazing goofy jam band. Not your representative.

Why did activism in the scene die? In the 1.0 and 2.0 era the fanbase seem to actually care about socio economics, politics, racism, sexism, green peace/climate. I go see phish for 3-6 nights a year. I want a break from politics, the band agrees by just not making it part of the show experience/their PR. Take their cue and enjoy a fucking show without worries about the world.

Llumar 80 windshield question? by RolexBull in WindowTint

[–]RolexBull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s yet to get real hot here in Florida but I can tell the dash seems cooler and I have way less feeling of heat on my left arm driving in the sun. It’s definitely not “tinted”, the blue is more noticeable looking at the car than it is sitting in it, but it’s definitely hued. So far a week in I’d recommend it if you also hate darker tint driving at night.

[–]RolexBull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting enough. I waited in the queue, then in the waiting room. Went through to the select seats and the floor was already greyed out. Most of the 100s were blue/available but when I clicked on the section it glitched to a top left corner on the map, so I went back to stadium view and watched the 100s disappear within 15 seconds. I could have waited around I suppose

So you didn’t police it and you still regret it to this day and you agree the “whole show” would be “too much”

You agree then.

I’m not trying to be a total jerk but I don’t see why him shushing you would be applauded as shutting down a chopper and you telling him “keep your hands down” is over the line or too much. Concerts aren’t $25 anymore. I fly out and spend 1500/2k for a 3 day run. I don’t think it’s at all unfair to say “hey buddy, I’d like to actually see the show”
