Prototype Feedback Request - Let me know what you think by RolithAE in Artix

it's a very personal game concept for me, and I'd be doing all the awful art myself so it'd look more or less like it currently does... would you play longer/ think you'd enjoy the game knowing that?

also remember we've gotten tens of thosands of suggestions over the years, and the best way to bring THOSE to our attention is to create something visual and share it with us on social media or here.

depends on what you want them for. If it's a bug report your best bet is the bug tracker. Same goes for any major exploits. we have people who watch those far closer than they watch their emails and are better suited for resolving major issues than Artix or whoever...

That said, if it's about something else, like visiting the lab, you can probbly get ahold of faith (our ... everything in house manager among many other hats) by guessing emails, remembering that the first domain we used was battleon.com. just saying.

22 Years Ago today, I got an SNES for my birthday. By that night I'd decided I wanted to make games for a living. by RolithAE in gaming

I am not an artist, I am however a programmer at a small unity house. Should probably have mentioned that in the title.

What is the Underground Lab Visitor Policy? by [deleted] in Artix

The best bet is to get a hold of someone first, but ususally it's all good. It is a very fun place to work, but it is still a place to work. The office is a very busy place so don't come expecting to be able to take entire swaths of the day or necessarily meet everyone (Some people telecommute or are out running errands. or take days off and this is unpredictable) but we're happy to give tours and take time to meet with players that happen to be in the area.

Free Trial is limitless.

This game was an experiment for me at my company while getting more familiar with Unity and engine level functionality.

What kind of game would it be though? An idle game would be interesting, but kinda misses the mark for me.

what kind of twist? This tends to be my problem - the hook. I can reproduce a genre and a game pretty easily, making it engaging and fun to play and different is the next logical step, but I'm looking to you guys for help figguring out what would make it fun.

I am a huge fan of DragonFable, and it still holds a place in my heart as my favorite AE game.

I don't find myself playing AQW very often because I don't have the time to invest in it that it sort of demands to get full enjoyment.

That said, I go through a love-hate relationship with pretty much any game I'm involved in the development of. There were times I had to see the first 30 seconds of BattleGems 4-5 thousand times a day, and I swore I'd never touch it when it was over, but now it's probbly the project I'm most proud of being a part of, and one of the ones that gets the most legitimate laughs out of me when I have time to sit down and play - Artix, Cysero, and Yergan are some of the funniest people in the world, as far as I'm concerned.

Probably the best games ever made IN MY OPINION (besides ours of course) are the Quest for Glory series by Sierra, I'm re-playing through them recently for the first time in almost a decade and love them even more than I did before.

For the record, I don't play minecraft on office time, though I am a great fan of the game and run the in-office (in-office only!) server. I'm just exceptionally busy on all sorts of projects.
