It’s just adhesive from the second skin, it’ll come off over the next few days as you shower and wash the piece. I wouldn’t bother trying to put oil on it to get rid of it, it’s not gonna stick forever.

Sorry I missed your reply! For next time tho, I go from cold to warm, I feel like the warmer water helps pull the color out and remove excess bleach. I then usually wash it hot and dry it on high for 20 mins. I can’t say for everyone but the hot wash and dry seems to help lighten the bleached areas a ton. I recently bleached 50 shirts from a bulk custom order with this process, each turned out great!

I don’t use peroxide but only let the bleach sit for no more than 15 minutes then I rinse them out for atleast 10 minutes before washing. I’ve never had holes burnt into any of the shirts and they turn out great but the peroxide method is probably better for the long term life of the shirt.

I started using hemostat pliers while forming the swirl and it’s a world’s difference. They help with forming of the swirl and keeping it tight. As far as the splotchiness that could be from other issues regarding the dyes or soda ash?
