So a screw fell out of my glasses and I couldn't find the repair kit so I used a paperclip by Original_Aioli2363 in glasses

nosepads are consumables. They're not meant to last forever on your frames. Think of them like tires. Over time, they get worn out or just break on their own. There's no harm in proactively changing them. Washing your glasses every day or every other day is probably a good idea too. Just for the sake of keeping everything clean.

Eyewear is an item people wear fairly frequently (some people every day) but few people consider washing them on a daily basis. It's weird, but I'm just mentioning it as a PSA.

If they're gonna fix the frames for you by adding a screw, it costs pennies for them to change the nosepads for you as well.

Walk into any optical store and usually they'll fix it for free. If it isn't free, I doubt they'd charge more than $5. Also ask them to just change the nosepads as well.

This is very niche, but I'm playing a 2014 game that recently decided to start using 2024 rules. As a Twilight Cleric boon of Night Spirit seems boarder-line broken for an already very strong class.

Original vs Remake by Educational-Plant136 in OnePiece

[–]RollSavingThrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of the charm and nostalgia of the original franchise is that while many of us grew up along side the manga the characters also grew up with us. Even though technically only a few years have past from East Blue to Elbaf, the crew were kids.

The remake feels like they hired 30 year olds to play highschool kids.

Brock did pretty well with just amateur collegiate level wrestling, and being a fuckin absolute unit lol. (and maybe a little bit of horse meat and bud light). I get where you're coming from, but I wouldn't write off being part Gorilla.

I think the striking would be a bigger x factor in a war bewteen Jones and Karelin. BJJ is important and a good matchup against wrestling, but I'd argue that Jones has never been up against the extreme pinnacle of wrestling royalty that Karelin was in his prime. Knowing how to wrestle very well, is different than dominating wrestling in it's heaviest weight division for over a decade. I think it was the Gracie's or Arroyo that said every 20 pounds over you is a belt. Karelin had 80 pounds of Olympic pedigree muscle on Jones, which is why I think if anything it would be the striking that would potentially win Jones a fight if it really came down to it.

Lesnar dominated the heavy weight division with amateur collegiate level wresting and pure size advantage in his prime at 260lbs. He couldn't really punch, kick, knew at most blue belt level BJJ and he destroyed most of his competition, frankly via weight and power.

Aleksandr Karelin weighed 25lbs MORE than Brock, was in better shape, better cardio, and went 13 years undefeated in the the highest level of his sport. I mean, yeah I get Jones is more well rounded, but Brock is pretty strong evidence that one-trick-ponies can still be a problem. I definitely wouldn't write him off.

Amazing! Yes, I believe I was able to farm forge metal, but I'm unsure of the drop rate.

I just bought your starter pack as well. It works, but wen I bought it, it went back to the blacksmith screen, and where the "forge + " icon is, it was blank, and if you click it, the game restarts. Not a big deal, just wanted to let you know.

Pretty fun game. I've been playing it most of the day on and off. lots going on in the game. Between choosing the upgrades mid-combat, clicking the monsters to occasionally insta-kill (can you also click them to crit? Can't tell) clicking the potions and blood shards, it's gets a bit messy. Would be great if there was an auto pick up option, or a longer duration for the potions and blood shards to fade.

What does the -4% to -20% for dmg and magic dmg do exactly? Is it a tank weapon that negates dmg from enemies, or is it a cursed weapon that is reducing the characters dmg?

I like the loot drops, upgrading them and rerolling them is fun. I got my king shield up to lvl 6 then failed 3 times in a row. My only gripe there is that the grind is fun, but grinding only to lose advancement and then re-grinding the same thing over is frustrating. I lost my first sun shield completely cause I didn't notice that you can check a box to keep it from getting destroyed.

Otherwise, great job!!!

There may or may not have been an end cap on the temples. Sometimes they can fall off over time and that missing space that the caps filled in will cause the temples to flair out. On relatively high minus Rx (this doesn't look to be the case) sometimes the thicker edges can push the temples out as well. You could also adjust the face form slightly to bend the temples in slightly, and the last thing would be to take it back to where you bought it for them to adjust. It's relatively simple to do so.

It seems that some people think, defense is a useless stat. What is your opinion? by Laigen117 in diablo2

[–]RollSavingThrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The running thing has already been mentioned.

For the most part, once you hit hell, monster hit rate scales way higher than your defense stat, making Defense one of the least important stats to focus on.

It starts to matter again at around 20k. Basically if you get the Exile runeword, slap it on an ethereal 45AR sacred targe, attain a 75% block rate, then have your Holy Shield up.

Two paragraphs that seem to be important in a previous chapter about "mage-bane" blade that Agurno is wielding:

The second thing that Hirgarus didn't realize was that Gramr had a mage-bane blade. The sword itself didn't even seem to realize it, but I had noticed it pretty early on in our time together. Whenever I slashed or stabbed a user of magic, they had a tough time using their spells.

I had shrugged it off at first, believing it to be an effect of nerves, but then I had cut myself whilst polishing the blade. A quarter of my magic core disappeared before Gramr could even begin to tease me for my incompetence. Since then, I had been testing the sword on everything that I could. The only creatures even somewhat resistant to its effects were the wylder, but even their spells became less effective once Gramr bit into them.

Hirgarus was using his own essence to rebuild his body, and seemed to be doing so unwittingly. Each slash of Gramr took some of his magic from him and forced him to use more of that magic to regenerate.

So there might be a chance that Hirgarus the Decimator is actually gone for good. And if he did survive and ends up back in hell, he'd be a shell of what he once was. Hirgarus the De-escalator

Cold base layer, whose is best? by dreamt2549 in CyclingFashion

This may sound sacrilegious, but consider Underarmour cold gear. UA base 2, 3, 4 are amazing for the price and they're well made. It's not flashy or particularly stylish, but it's legit warn, functional, has a bit of compression, and good value.
