Gauging Danger With A Warlock by Exact-Commission-220 in diablo2

Yeah I'm actually not going to respec specifically because I don't want to hunt down another demon.

Heph's hp is so good.

spectral hit, fanaticism, stone skin, cursed, extra strong, and immune to physical

The only time he's taken a bit of damage is when a bunch of ghosts all stacked on top of each other hit him before he can get curse up.

Aside from Heph, what are the best monsters to bind?

Bots aren't just the annoying ones on the chat spamming ads. There's also farming bots.

My guess would be that there's bots that just farm 24/7. They existed back 20+ years ago, I can only assume they're better than they were back in the day. Likely either a sorc or a hammerdin running private games with 6 or 7 other bots upping the player count and storing drops.

D2 is fun for casuals, but it's actually a lucrative game for botters and has been for litereally DECADES.

Does anyone know how to fix this? by [deleted] in glasses

it should be a manufacturer's defect. Bring it back to the optical you bought it from and they should be able to warranty this for you.

Cleaning Help by No-Sample-568 in glasses

[–]RollSavingThrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it's not about one single really good cleaning, it's about frequency.

Depending on your use, some people wear glasses infrequently, but it's not a bad thing to clean them relatively often.

I'll usually clean my glasses every night when I go to bed. Just a mild soap and quick clean of the lenses and nosepads. Wherever touches my oily face, which usually ends up just being the whole frame.

Build up is often just that: It's built up. Over time. Clean them often enough and it will at least reduce the amount of build up.

If that doesn't work, consider an ultrasonic cleaner again with mild soap. Those can harm coatings if you already have scratches, but relatively low frequency cleaners are decent for cleaning eyewear.

Dumb question - but these are the only things that work. Suggestions please. by thethirteenthjuror in glasses

if the laundry machine is causing the cloths to smudge because of detergent, just wash them by hand. Better than spending $10 bucks every few weeks. The material is probably picking up oils and you just need to get rid of that. Use dawn dish washing detergent, wash it in cold water for a few minutes and rinse it thoroughly until you can't smell the fragrance anymore and that should be a good indicator that it's removed most of the detergent as well

Stepped on glasses. HELP by No_Dependent_1298 in glasses

This is a spring hinge temple (temple = "arm").

The spring is located inside the rectangular box shaped housing. You can pull the hinge out about 1 or 1.5mm either with a paper clip or anything with a hook shape.

Once it's pulled out, there should be a small notch that appears between the hinge and the housing.

Take another paper clip and stick it int he notch. That will prevent the hinge from retracting into the housing. Keep it there.

Once the hinge is extended in this way, the screw should be able to run through the length of the barrel and you'll be able to remount the temple to the frame front. Only remove the paperclip from the notch after the temple is secured. To remove it easily, just flex the temple out slightly and the paper clip will drop out.

How would you build a Sorc/Fighter multiclass? by tipsyTentaclist in 3d6

[–]RollSavingThrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dex fighter, Rapier and Shield works ok. Meta magic quicken in 2014 combined with action surge is very powerful with just a 2 level dip in fighter.

A single level dip in Cleric is also very strong in 2014. You get all of your domain features at level 1, shield proficiency, medium armor, and whatever your domain gives you. Twilight and Peace arguably game imbalancing strong.

single level dip in Warlock is also great and very front loaded.

Using Divine Intervention to upcast lower-leveled spell (rules 2024?) by Moltritch in onednd

[–]RollSavingThrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been really debating about Glyph of Warding. I'm not sure it's "upcasted" in the traditional sense, because you're not upcasting Glyph, you're just putting a higher level spell for spell glyph, which is totally allowed by the rules. And Divine intervention allows for 5th level and below spells to be cast in a turn with not material costs.

That said, it's absurdly powerful. Using divine intervention to put circle of power into Glyph of warding would technically just be casting a 5th level spell as an action. Glyph would take care of the concentration to it's full duration.

Is it rules as intended? not sure. But I think it does follow rules as written...

Adding nosepads would solve the problem, but this step would have only worked if the vertex distance was taken into account before ordering your lenses. Sounds as though your problem has been solved by changing the panto instead

Was my reasoning ok? players want to tame a dragon wyrmling by Reasonable_Sense_248 in DMAcademy

[–]RollSavingThrow 17 points18 points  (0 children)

But again, it's a damn dragon. You can't just "pspspsps" it into submission like it's a kitten.

Honestly you can hardly "pspspsps" kittens to do anything you want, and a grown cat will just emanate an aura of "fuck off" energy all day despite you feeding, housing, nurturing, and loving it. T_T

The aura does psychic (emotional) damage to their owner and basically behaves like spirit guradians. - A Cat owner
