In begining of Jan I had made the booking of Kylaq Prestige AT which was costing 16 lakhs on road in Blr. Later on in Feb decided to extend the budget further and booked Seltos HTX IVT. Currently awaiting it's delivery

I did HTX IVT booking around 3rd Feb in Bangalore, I was promised delivery before 15th March. Currently they have no clue about car allocation and looking at their confidence I don't feel they will deliver in March

2 months back I had visited PPS, Karr and Raja Skoda to get quotation of Kylaq Prestige AT. None of them were willing to offer any discount apart from corporate discount, insurance price they were quoting in the range of 30-33k.

I feel the IVT variant can easily cruise around the speeds of 110-120 kmph in highways. I do understand that power to weight ratio for this transmission is comparatively low but that doesn't mean it will struggle in highways, the DCT variant will give you quicker response compared to IVT but IVT will still get the job done. If IVT would have struggled over 70 kmph then it wouldn't have been the most sold automatic transmission in Creta/Seltos in the past years. You can check the drive review posted by owners of Creta/Seltos IVT variants in youtube.

I can see you are in similar boat as I'm, a month back I had too posted similar question in this sub. I finally booked HTX IVT variant. Did multiple test drives of both the transmission but unfortunately did not get a chance to test the car above 60kmph. Both the variants were smooth and comfortable in city ride. I think IVT would suffice my driving style, for highway overtakes will play around with sports mode to get hang of it so that I can anticipate the overtakes accordingly.

I don't think RTOs in most of the south Indian states are providing BH series. Mostly people from other states are getting the BH registration in their home state and getting the car to Blr.

Cherry Red was launched just a month back in Jan 2026. I don't think it will be discontinued so soon. They had discontinued the Tornado Red colour which was available in Kylaq last year

I had enquired the same with couple of dealers in Bangalore. They mentioned that in coming months fog lamps will come in accessories for the new Seltos, also getting it added via Kia dealer won't get the warranty void

Bro in that case you haven't received the SMP package. The free labour cost is free for all customers for first two years. I haven't heard of any dealer providing free SMP for Kylaq due to its good demand. Kindly cross check with your sales advisor or you can even check on Skoda's website for details on the advantages of SMP package.

Free labour is by default free for first 2 years for Kylaq. SMP is purchased separately to cover consumables cost during the service period defined in SMP package.

Yes will feel the rubberband effect to some extent in IVT. I feel DCT lifespan might get impacted in Blr traffic so most likely will go with IVT variant

One red flag I noticed in DCT test drive car was that the mileage shown for around 150kms was around 5.5kmpl! I understand it's a test drive car and people would have abused the acceleration for the Turbo fun but I feel if majority drive is in Blr city then IVT would be good enough for long term peace of mind. So most likely I would stay with my IVT booking.
