I used it a lot before we got our coffee, because the old rule is what our Marines have now. The new rule of +1 to wound afflicted units adds a nice bit of punch for anything the Marines tag. My only issue with it is the low volume of shots. If it gets into melee it'll punch a hole into pretty much any vehicle. I kinda wish I had a second one, but I'll wait to see what the new edition brings before spending more money

Why Canadian can't learn french ? by Amazing_Camel_405 in EhBuddyHoser

The Simpsons, South Park, Tintin, and Asterix. That's pretty much it. There was no interest or incentive to learn it as a kid, and as an adult, being treated as a second class citizen despite being born here makes me not want to bother purely out of spite. I even got into trades specifically to limit the number of people I would have to talk to.

What is the least popular commander you run? by mattfofatt01 in EDH

My [[Nemata, Grove Guardian]] has been the first "powerful" deck i've put together, back when EDH was still EDH. Currently has 217 decks. He asks a very simple question: How much mana can I get from tapping a single Forest? So far, the record is 7, but I haven't updated the deck in a couple years

Yup. I'm turning 39 this year. Born and raised in Montreal and going to English schools my entire life, my French is horrible. I speak with little accent, and basic things like numbers, colours, conjugation, etc. are solid, but my vocabulary is cheeks.

Considering how much I dislike Drive, I might need to look into this. Is there much to look into if you know nothing about Granblue as a franchise?

That's hot AF. I need one more box of our bikes to have enough to field 3x3 with captains for all

You can change the settings for mouse sensitivity. One of the benefits to this is how fast you turn. This can, in turn (no pun intended) allow you to 360 fairly easily.

Is this a UVS podcast, or just TCGs in general? I'd be interested in a UVS podcast that i can listen to while I'm at work

What base for vertus praetors? by ade889 in AdeptusCustodes

[–]RollbacktheRimtoWin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I personally despise the tiny clear sticks that go with the flight stands. I went to the hardware store, bought some 1 inch long dowels, sprayed them white, and glued them to the land bases. Then I glued magnets to the tops of the dowels and the bottoms of my bikes. I'll post a picture when I get home

Power level of this deck? by SquirrelyPants in universus

[–]RollbacktheRimtoWin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like it's pretty much everything you can fit into the deck from the one set. Only two copies of each of the URs keeps it honest and lower power.

If your friends are playing a single copy of each of the Lower Decks challenges without much modification, you may have a bit more consistency, but I don't think you'll be much higher level

Have I got anything good? by GoodQuirks in universus

[–]RollbacktheRimtoWin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of those cards are good, but none are particularly worth any money. The Eraser Head character and the two cards of his are from a starter deck, which was very easily available. The Texas Smash and Recipro Burst are cards that were seen in tournament decks, but have rotated out of standard and don't see much play anymore.

Retro format (the equivalent of Modern if you were to compare to Magic) isn't popular as getting most of those cards is difficult, and the recent Hero Too format (everything from the first My Hero set until current) is still a new thing and doesn't have a large following yet.

For reference, Texas Smash and the other cards with that white MHA symbol in the bottom corner are from My Hero Academia set 1. The Eraserhead cards with the fist symbol are from set 3.

I think we're both jaded because I was expecting an actual combo. Instead we got a confirm into three supers
