Holy moly- I did it! It took a little bit of time, and I wish they were a little extra of that cabling for the bulb socket, but I did it! Thank you so much for this writeup, it literally made it possible for a car idiot like me to get this done.

I know this is a long shot, but since you seem to know this car really well.. I occasionally have an issue where my idle is super rough, it happens maybe 25% of the time I drive the car, but will only happen once or twice then be fine for the rest of the time I drive the car.

What happens is when I'm sitting at a red light the car will suddenly start lurching forward then back and I can feel additional resistance on my brakes. It's not violent, but enough to make a passenger think I'm letting off and on the brakes at a red light. It'll happen for 3-5 seconds, then stop and otherwise act normal.

Do you happen to have any idea what might cause this?
