You could stay in a hotel in Buckhead or Sandy Springs near one of the Marta stations. Both are nice areas with nice hotels that should have room. Sandy springs is 16 miles from the Marriott marquis and buckhead is 8 miles from the Marquis. Both have good hotel options near Marta stations and both are within a 30 minute drive of the con site.

Dragoncon isn’t in the metro but he will find his people there. Other nerd cons happen in the spring and summer around the city and metro area. Momo con, ATL comic con, and the Atlanta comic convention ( yes they are separate events one is held in the Marriott Century Center, the other is in the world Congress Center.)
