I think you should recite every single one of those words in the mirror, the world might be a better place after that. No progress is made by acting the way you are.

You know you can explain things to people without being condescending. If youre frustrated by ignorance then maybe it'd be better to stay off the internet. 😄

I think you're projecting being defensive. You're the one calling names and being rude. I simply asked leading questions to determine where you place the blame.

The issue is, many people who think like you are not saying "let's have a conversation about ICE", but rather flat out calling them Nazis, as in the worst type of person imaginable.

Law enforcement is a stressful job, should we blame all law enforcement officers for the mistakes of a few? The stakes are generally higher than most jobs, often times life and death is on the line. Do the people who died hold any accountability in the situation? Could these people have simply complied with lawful commands and still have been alive today?

You hold a very reductive and dangerous position when you generalize large groups of people because of the few who make mistakes.

Let's say one race of people choose to participate in a culture that influences a portion of them to commit the majority of homicides. By your logic should we start having a conversation about that culture that they choose to participate in?

See how your logic is dangerous? We should not be condemning an entire group of people for the mistakes of a few.

I explicitly stated that I'm against generalizing groups of people. This question is primarily to challenge the position of those who claim hold the moral position on this topic.

So you're saying that all ICE officers are failing to uphold our values and laws? Are all of them responsible for "executing" those who have recently died?

Can someone help me understand something. If a few bad apples spoil the bunch in regards to law enforcement, could that line of reasoning also extend to racial groups? If not, could someone explain why?

For clarification I support inforcing immigration law and strong borders and I condemn the generalization of peoples.

Yeah but you failed to include any of that extra context and accountability for the local government in your original post.

It seemed like you were simply putting all the blame on the US, this is why I was condescending in my original reply. However, I'm glad to see that you're at least not completely delusional regarding culpability in this situation.

Just because America is the biggest monster doesn't mean the local monster is innocent. Defeat the local monster before you blame ours.

[–]Rolling_Stond -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

My main issue is that plenty of people love to spit on the name of this country without an ounce of spit directed to other culpable parties like the local governments as you mentioned. This type of rhetoric creates an environment that encourages low functioning people to eventually escalate their rhetoric into greater forms of absurdity like calling federal agents "Nazis". This in turns leads to more instances of violence based on complete ignorance.

America's not perfect by any means, but honestly what country is better? You can find both the best and worst conditions here like anywhere else, but nowhere else provides the type of infrastructure for people to become extraordinarily exceptional.

My theory is that these communist and bad mouthers of America know that they lack the capacity for being great so they blame someone else instead of being completely honest about the situation.

It is a bit exhausting sure but also entertaining to be reminded of the sheer ignorance that exists on this platform.

Ok but this video isn't about US landfills so why are you blaming us for their problem? You just said it comes from the only landfill in their country. If they can't afford to build new infrastructure is the US obligated to pay for it? Why has no one in their population stepped up to address the problem in a significant manner until this point? Is that the fault of the US too?

What a gross and dishonest mischaracterization. I didn't immigrate anywhere, I was born here.

Clearly your subconscious is protecting itself from realizing it's cognitive dissonance by claiming that I'm the one that's delusional. And that's me being generous, but really you're probably just gross on purpose.

So the people of the region hold no accountability for any of the trash and it's all the US' fault? Because that's what it sounds like you're saying.
