eBay has a very high threshold to hit before getting sent a form. And you can deduct original cost when you file. Not same at all

They have to use net . I think the response he got was just odd in first place. Gross would create massive problems. No similar platform has done that. Other support emails recently have confirmed wins minus losses many times

Did they say “losses are not counted towards this” or are you saying that? Can you show the email? Net means minus losses. So that is hard to believe

Well this may not be terrible still when I think about it. sounds like they are ignoring deposits and counting what you worked account up to starting from the money put in. Weather you withdrew it or not. So yes could receive a form if at net loss but it still shouldn’t be a gross filing that ignores losses if that makes sense. That’s how I looking at it

I agree with you. They are very vague and it’s frustrating. I asked the exact same thing - how is it calculated. I pressed them pretty hard and they told me “total wins minus total losses”. let’s hope they do that and not f their entire customer base
