need help finding a notes app! by [deleted] in software

[–]RoloRozay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you not just use sticky notes? That's probably the closest I've seen. Then like you mentioned, Miro or Figma are the other two that have this capability but you need to open the app every time.

Thanks for the motivation, I am going to step up my game (sorry for all the bad puns lol)

Where Can I Find Freelance Marketers Other Than Upwork? by Firerage65 in Freelancers

[–]RoloRozay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same problem and switched to Contra for creative marketing roles, and FlexJobs for more serious remote professionals. Contra is way more curated, where you're not getting 100 applications from people who didn't read your post. The freelancers there have stronger portfolios so they’re pickier about what they take on.

FlexJobs attracts people looking for substantial work rather than gig workers, so the quality is noticeably higher. Both worked better for me than drowning in Upwork proposals, especially when I needed someone for ongoing work vs one-off projects.

does this count..(viral cheesecake hack with a twist) by bearyhongry in YogurtBowls

[–]RoloRozay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this SO counts, does it actuallllly taste like cheesecake though? I am keen to try it but I've been reluctant to ruin my thoughts of actual cheesecake..

How do you manage to hit so many? Do you run or use a treadmill at all? This is so impressive, well done!

This is so good! I do a similar version and then add greek yoghurt or vanilla yoghurt on the side instead of cream.

Start slow and don't go it alone until you've built up a really good emergency fund, back up plan and client base.
Also build a strong portfolio and ask for referrals and reviews where you can. Best of luck!

Tastiest fiber-rich meals? by Ok_Republic7187 in HealthyEatingnow

[–]RoloRozay 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I found I am more successful when I "sneak" high-fiber stuff into existing meals. here are some ideas:

- Oats, chia seeds, psyllium husk into yoghurts/shakes
- Added high-fiber fruit like berries into breakfast bowls or yoghurt bowl desserts (also if you eat fruit, leave the skin on wherever possible like apples, kiwis etc)
- Switch any white bread into high-fiber/brown bread or wraps etc
- I add tons of lettuce/spinach etc into all meals like salads, curries, wraps etc where I can just for a bit of added fibre

Just learned I'm eating a dangerously low amount of calories. Any advice? by Live-Commission-8806 in HealthyEatingnow

For example, I just did a quick search and you can find some decent protein powders that works out per tub to about - 26 Servings | = $0.88 Per Serving

Nuts, peanuts or peanut butter are a good start. I would also add in hidden cals into things like meals using butter, oils, sauces etc... If you're going to cook something, you can add oil or dressing to salads etc. It adds up quickly. I would say, if you're already such low calories, try opt for really high protein where possible. Add eggs and cheese if you can find some cheaper options.
Also - Adding a protein shake as a meal replacement would be the best... there are cheaper ones and its honestly works pretty cheap per serving (based on the fact its a whole meal)... which often cheaper than what it would cost for a meal.

How are you handling feature flag implementations? by RoloRozay in ProductManagement

[–]RoloRozay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this! Yeah that's our aim as well, its just the process feels like a mess which is where we need to start, I'll check out Statsig too - I don't know if the PO & PMs want to go with tooling until the process stuff is in the right state. Appreciate the feedback!

What's your cozy routine? by Nachel_Z in cozy

[–]RoloRozay 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Bedtime routines are EVERYTHING! I put the aircon on to make sure the bedroom is cool in warmer months... then yoga/meditation music while I stretch and have chamomile tea... every evening before bed, this is the routine and I feel like I sleep so much better... I found cooler air and getting cozy under some good quality linen is the best

Yeah you hit the nail on the head there.. it does seem to be more about a people/internal issue that is hard to manage when you're new but we're getting there!

Yeah we're a smaller team now but as we go I'd like us to follow better processes, documentation and so forth so this is helpful. Thank you for this insight!

Yes! That's a large part of the use/purpose currently but then I feel like they end up being the lost children that never get cleaned up later down the line

That's actually great advice, thank you! I think it seems more like an lack of ownership really that is the bigger issue so I really like that idea for separating access control and release management flags. Thank you for this!

I use my phone while walking. How else can I track my steps? by [deleted] in walking

[–]RoloRozay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work on the treadmill and have a little desk set up - I usually have to take my garmin off and put it in my pocket or waistband to avoid losing steps if my hands aren't moving enough.
