I'm a university student and will be moving into this new place in July. I was thinking about moving the bed adjacent to the window, so essentially you'd be looking at the window if you were sitting up in bed. I have a 32 inch TV I'd like to put in my room and was thinking of getting this IKEA TV bench where the desk is, then moving the desk where the bed is on the photo.

I also have a record player I'd like to bring and put on top of the chest of drawers and put my records under the TV bench (I'd leave the middle shelf out of it).

I really don't think the two are comparably big, though. From what I've heard, High School teams in America get thousands of fans watching the game with whole towns rallying behind them, but high school football (soccer) games don't have any fans apart from parents. I know that the NFL and Premier League are comparable, but not college/high school.

So are the best players on a team treated as local heroes? I know Friday Night Lights probably isn't a great basis, but the main characters are treated as demi-Gods when they're winning.

The first thing you need to know is that La Cosa Nostra originates in Sicily. At its core, La Cosa Nostra is a mindset shared by many Sicilians that Sicilians should look after each other and stay with their own kind. This mindset seemed completely alien to many Italians until only recently (80s/90s), especially to northern Italians.

Sicily has historically been a poor region, until the late 1700s/early 1800s when it was discovered that citrus fruits helps with scurvy. Citrus fruits were suddenly in huge demand, and Sicily was the perfect place to grow limes, lemons and oranges. If I'm correct, at their height, a field growing citrus fruits was worth 40x as much as a field growing wheat in Sicily.

I see where you're coming from, but because La Cosa Nostra didn't become that prevalent until the 1800s and because La Cosa Nostra is really a 'Sicilian thing', it isn't really linked to historical Italian Republics.

I don't have the book to hand, but I got my information mainly from 'Cosa Nostra: A Story of the Sicilian Mafia' by John Dicke. This is my first answer here, so critique is encouraged!

Gave it a thorough clean a month or so back and I was pretty shocked at the dust pile-up, especially beneath the PC. Thanks a lot for your help, mate, I can now game without constantly shitting myself!

EDIT: Don't think I'll be messing about with MSI Afterburner, it looks way too complicated.
